I am wanting more singing in my life. I am not good at remembering words to songs. The past few days I have started singing my own words to hear my voice. It is a lot of fun. I am glad I have singing back in my life.
I have also started doing dancing with…

Yesterday I was reading about some books some of the CCS members are reading and I thought I must buy them and asked for them to be held aside for me at Borders. As I was getting ready to go and get them I thought about the books and work I am doing at the moment and thought how do I have time to read these other books…

This blog entry is for Malinda who wanted to see the little boxes I made. I glued 24 matchboxes together, painted them and made little handles. Inside I put all sorts of little surprises like a marble, candle, stars, etc.
When I made it, it was all crooked so I threw it in the bin then I thought not all creativity is…

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I hope you're going well with your writing, and with things generally. Take care of yourself.

Thank you for your recent post. I so much appreciate everyone's compassion during the times of adjusting. I hope everything is going well for you. How is that writing coming along?
I will be writing your letter soon, I promise. Enjoy the park and the trees.
(((hugs)))

BTW I live in Ballarat , maybe one day we might catch up in 'real' life :-)
You really sound busy, with your writing, drawing, knitting, and cross stitch. I'd love to knit better, I'm barely at the garter stitch and purl stage. Is that one of your cross stitches in your photograph? I just love it.
I'm taking art classes at the moment, and I go with a friend when our children are at school. I'm doing a painting in acrylics at the moment. It's a landscape, of weeping willows by a river. I used to paint before I had my children,(now aged 8,7 and 5) and I'm just getting back into it. I am also writing a novel, well, I hope I get to finish it and turn it into a novel, because I'm very slow, and haven't been doing much writing lately. I tend to start things and not finish them. I do like journal writing though, it's soothing and meditative, I think. I want to do so many things! But I never seriously thought I'd write songs, it's just that I dreamt I'd written a song, and the dream just kind of stuck. Maybe my subconscious is telling me I can do more than I think I can... even if I have to be prodded sometime!
I started knitting different coloured squares, I've got five of them now. Just plain garter stitch, and I intend to sew them into a blanket. Just for fun, really, while I watch TV.

Thanks for being my friend. When I joined CCS, Mary Hicks told me I should meet you, because you are also from Australia, and you're a lovely person. She's right about that, you are lovely. Your drawings are delightful. I'm from Brisbane, by the way.
Donelle.
I love all trees, young and old. We have a wonderful knobby kneeded water Cyprus that grows here in the wetlands. They are mysterious as well as beautiful. Our Southern Magnolas have huge dark green leaves with amazing white blossoms in spring.
Trees speak a language all their own. I love listening to the wind when it makes their leaves dance sending soothing music through their branches. We must honor our trees as we should all elders for their wisdom and strength.

oh how lovely to be able to write a letter in a park! I can picture you sitting there, with the world passing you by, writing your thoughts as you feel them. We have a lakfront here where I once enjoyed going but it is no longer easy access for mE, sad to say.
I have always loved a park to sit back becoming a part of all around mE. We have a 100 yr old Oak along the lakefront I once enjoyed touching and sitting under. She certainly has much to say for those of us who listen.
Take care my friend. Waiting for your letter anxiously.......
