"Nurture great thoughts, for you will never go higher than your thoughts." --Benjamin Disraeli
"How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives." -- Annie Dillard
“We cannot bring order to the world or to our lives as long as we fail to recognize that, in reality, all human beings are holograms of humanity. We all reflect the whole, and it is essential for us to begin to think in this way.”

I only joined MySpace at the prodding a friend. It's fun but I never got in the habit. It's so voyeuristic.
Yeah, I read a conversation between you and Dan about MIA, so I guess that inspired me, because I do love her. I saw her in concert 2 years ago. Awesome what she's accomplished -- starting with nothing. I was copying, but the guys started the reggae beat. I gotta say it's pretty easy once you've heard it done. We actually record everything we do in improv, glad you asked :) It gives me a chance to announce I've been working on sifting through them -- a project I've had since the beginning, 5 years ago!! Most of it is awful -- I already knew that. I came up with a couple of snippets I thought I'd put up just, you know, because I'm here, but the ones I want I have to edit and I don't have the software. So I thought I'd record them on my digital cam and upload that way. Gotta get to that.
So sorry I haven't replied prior to this, it's been manic! Thank you so much for the welcome, I am really looking forward to joining in and getting to know everyone here.
Oh, hey, fellow Beatles/Lennon fan I presume, I had a bit of an obsession with John, his wordplay and his acidic sense of humour. I would love to see the portraits you did of them in Yellow Submarine, I haven't gotten round to seeing if you found and posted them yet though.
ciao.
That picture was at the sun dial at Machu Picchu, which was actually chipped by someone trying to make a beer commercial... we were having a discussion that the commercial should have been about peace... and there I am :-)
Enjoy the rain..........
