Inchies on Flickr!

Found these compliments of Gretchen on her Heart A Day page; I too love the colors and I'm a huge fan of folk artsy/whimsical works...I tend to draw in that manner as well. The artist is Georgina Ferrans.

I can't wait to get started on my Inchies Project! I think I'm going to work on black ArtAgain paper with the Derwent Inktense Pencils. Too fun!

Inchies Galore!

Addicting, these little one inch squares!

All done on watercolor paper with Inktense color pencils, Micron pen enhancements.

My First Inchies

Here is a picture of my very first set of inchies....at least the ones I'm happy enough with to share! Overall, it was a fun project. I used Derwent Watercolor pencils on watercolor paper, added fine details with a Micron pen and I'm thinking of adding a little silver sparkle to them, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

I got my Inktense pencils 2 or 3 months ago. They do have superior color. That's what I used on my inchies. And on this doodle: Heart Spiral Doodle"

Inktense pencils? I have to have some!

Just as I was looking at this, I was handed a couple of envelopes full of inchies! Woo Hoo! Can't wait to see yours, Danielle!

oh gosh Danielle I just looked at your jewellery it is so gorgeous! Where I lived in Greece was a turtle conservation project for the loggerhead turtles, and I'm going back this year to do some retreats, I've often seen the turtles when I've been on a boat and did go with some turtle workers to watch them laying their eggs one night - it's magical. Again so lovely to see your gorgeous stuff on ccspace x b

Wow it must be so satisfying to sell your creations widely, as well as divide your time between two places that are so different.

In one of the recent discussions ("Is creativity a little too important to you?") someone raised the question that maybe going for a creative job/carreer would take the joy out of creating so there would be no motivation left for creating for fun and for yourself when the work day was done....I haven´t checked whether you added to the topic today, but maybe you would have something to say about it.... Just a thought. In my non-creative job, the thought strikes me from time to time - "would I be happier if...." and I honestly don´t know.

Hi Danielle,
thank you for the friend request. I was just about to ask if you lived somehwere tropical, because your jewelry is so beachy - not to mention the titles of many of the pieces - but now I see you live in NYC, so nevermind ;-)
Are you able to make a living from your jewelry design and other art?

Hi Danielle! Welcome to CCS!

I like your web site. I've made and sold jewelry at craft shows locally in Central Oregon ... lots of fun :) I did more beadweaving with the tiny seed beads.

I'm who you would send the 1" x 1" art to. The swap is for 5 pieces. Send me a message if you decide to jump in, and I can send you my address.

See you around!
