My progression of doodles

Sorry they are small pictures- there were to many to scan individually- I made them so you can click them for the pop up larger window

Here is my progression of these to date. The first few I just did not really feel like I was 'getting' to the heart of these...as they progressed different reoccuring shapes and patterns kept happening and I went with them when ever I got the urge.

I had to pick up my folks from the airport and the flight was delayed...I had paper, ink, and time :-)

These were started as doodles- random, stick figures, and my name written in cursive- shaped and filled in

For these I stabbed the paper ramdomly then connected the dots into shapes and filled them in

This was a fun and really relaxing pattern- I basically made the shape of the letter 'c' over and over with variation

These were just started by picking up the pen and starting to make marks

There were to many to scan bigger- but if there is one or two you'd like even bigger than the pop up window let me know and I will post it by itself

1 flowers 2 fences 3 fruit 4 fractals. All cool! Last one reminds me of batik or barkcloth!

Fruit flowers grow on fences if they are planted close enough.
I kind of got a batik feeling with that last one as well- I wish I had made it more carefully and staight...but then again, I kind of like it's cattywhompus look
Thanks Lin- you are the best doodle fan a gal could have:-)
I tried your circles- when I get four I will post them. Are you going to do a round one? Hum?? I forgot- you did those Awesome ones in your album! . Now you could try one using your pink hat :-)

Here are the rest of the dark ones I told Dabs about
The first three I tried something new- I held the pen still and moved the pad of paper around to create the starting design. That was interesting!
The last one was just playing with basic shapes- squares, triangles, circles...and one donut. Gotta have donuts if the ice cream is gone.

Dentures on the Loose, Bag O Bones, Two Hearts That Beat As One, and Holed That Donut!

Wow Jules! What a great new technique!!! They all look very different, even the last one!

The first one reminds me of a basket of pearls swirling through a wonderful wonka space.
Mountains and bridges in the second.
The Third One is really a beauty for me! Looks like fragmented hearts, but not sad ones, but smiling ones!
The third one almost looks like a collage to me! it's wonderfully done!

Cheers to your new creative technique and changes! These all make me happy!

I think number three is my fave here but number four is very kewl also!

After doing those dark ones I somehow flopped over to lighter with these. The first two were the holding the pen still and moving the paper- the third
one is amazingly similiar to one I did sometime ago- I am not sure when, I just know it is similiar and the last one was just random curved lines.
The next posting will be circles- I have done some but not yet scanned them

First one is kinda like two faces, next one is a paper-doll cut out twisted on itself, next water flowing and last tribal neckwear. These all feel lighter somehow, maybe because there are wider spaces between the lines.

Wow Jules, I just can't keep up with all your new stuff! I do see faces too in the first one, sort of a yin yang male female image. I really like the last two. They're all surrealistic and I love that :)

GASP! These really are terrific to behold! I have got to try that technique of moving the paper instead of the pen!
The first thing I saw in the first dood were a grouping of roses at the top!
The second reminds me of joyful things, perhap a happy figure, and also reminds me of puzzle pieces...the third, I see a water fall coming through a mountain notch...The fourth is so beautiful...a lacy seashell! All really wonderful, Jules!

Although I have been too busy with work and all to scan and post- I have continued to do at least one doodle a day. Here are my first round ones- they are 3.5 inches too- I just drew a circle in my square.
I really like the first one. The others are all right too, but I like the little web that appeared in 1.

Jules, these are beautiful. So kewl! I too love #1 with the spider's web! Will you make a zendala post of your own for these? Cause I know some people (from other groups) will be especially interested in those.
