CCS Member Becca Having Heart Surgery July 22nd

CCS Member Becca Allison is having open heart surgery at 7:30 AM Central US time on Tuesday July 22nd. They will be replacing her aortic valve and making her heart as good as new! Please send prayers and healing energies her way and to the medical staff caring for her on that day and afterwards as she recovers. Thank you! I know she will be watching this post as soon as they let her have access to her laptop- just can't stay away from CCS, even in the hospital!

Just spoke to Becca herself! She sounds great, too! She says whatever you did, prayers-wise, worked good! She is having some pain but they have her on Percoset which is controlling the worst of it. She is sitting up in a chair but won't start walking until tomorrow. I didn't want to tire her out so I just told her I loved her and would call again soon, and left her to take a nap.

She will be there several more days. If you would like to talk to her, call Huntsville Hospital at 1-256-265-1000 and ask for patient Rebecca Allison. It would really brighten up her day.

I will, Susan. She anticipates that she will probably hurt the worst tomorrow, since they will be stopping the heavy-duty pain killers and getting her moving. But, as she says, she's a tough ole broad! That's not gonna stop her!

Even if Becca is a toughy I'll add a few extra prayers for when she comes off the pain relief. She sounds really focused and determined to do well which is great

Hey, y'all! My darling sons brought me my laptop and I'm using the hospital WiFi!
Whatever you lovely people did for me,prayers and energies and mandelas and all, I love you for it! It worked! I am recovering nicely, getting stronger every day. I have to be careful not to push myself too hard - the worst is that it tires me out to talk a lot! I am gradually getting tubes and wires removed, and walking.Aside from the slight feeling that an elephant jumped on my chest Tuesday, I'm doing great!
Will write more later, just wanted to thank you all for being so great! And especially LIn, who kept you posted!
