Your art work is just beautiful. And how cool to live in Spain!! As a former dancer, I tell myself I want to one day, even if I am a tiny little- old -grayhaired-woman, I want to learn flamenco dance. My mother's biological father's name was Fagalde, which we know has its roots in Basque, which could easily explain my love of languages(spanish) and other things. I love Segovia, Sergio Mendes, and anything relating or having anything to do with Spain. I know that sounds pretty simple -nonetheless it seems to be there for me.I have enjoyed looking at your art work and blogs.
Hi Cherry, sorry to hear about your long bout of RSI. How very frustrating for you! I'm keeping mine in check by doing a lot less but with Autumn coming I'll have to be extra careful because that's when my energy levels are high and you know me.....I launch myself into my work as if there's no tomorrow. I hope you are able to get back into the swing of things again soon...gently. xx
Hi WildCherry, good to hear from you! I hope you can get back to painting and computers soon. Things are good on my end, though I long for Spring, too.
Frosty days.

Space Weather News for Jan. 23, 2007

SOLAR ECLIPSE: On Monday, Jan. 26th, the Moon will pass in front of the sun producing an annular "ring of fire" eclipse. This is not a total eclipse; the Moon will cover only 93% of the sun's surface. Nevertheless, the Moon's dead-center transit across the solar disk will produce a sight of rare beauty for observers along the "path of annularity." Best views are to be had from islands in Indonesia where the ring of fire will appear to sink into the ocean at sunset. Meanwhile, in Australia, southeast Asia, southern parts of India and South Africa, observers will experience an off-center partial eclipse. Crescent-shaped sunbeams will dapple the ground while high overhead the Moon takes a curved bite out of the sun.

BLUE-SKY FIREBALL: Last week a meteoroid of unknown size hit Earth's atmosphere over Denmark and exploded with a flash so bright it turned the nighttime sky daytime blue. A video of the remarkable fireball and eye-witness reports may be found at Spaceweather's fireball sighting page: http://spaceweather.com/glossary/fireballreports_17jan09.htm

Morning Wild Cherry:
Life is not intended for us to stay locked inside ourselves anymore than a flower that has never had a chance to open. Everything expresses in it's own way including nature.
Morning blessings Wild Cherry:
Supporting each other is the only way any of us will survive whatever life sends our way. Even though it may feel like it, no one walks alone. The problem is not letting anyone in to help, thinking we can handle everything ouselves,

Thank you for your response to my post on loss and grief. As long as we 'show up" there is hope for recovery. We must keep opening our wounds until we are comfortable with our healing process.
Each loss deals a different set of cards even though they are all marked the same. I never expected to loose 2 of my own flesh and blood nor does any other parent.......

Thanks so much for the invite! That does interest me greatly. I've been meaning to read that book- not really knowing what it was about , but liking the people who like it. That's often a good indication of a good book. I will get it from the library today. I'd read another book ages ago that interpreted the symbolism in traditional tales, but it was from a very Freudian perspective. This sounds refreshing!
Love to see the shadow's collections , I feel like I had learned a lesson to shade , to see where the light come from and those texture of things are great source for designing as well !!!
Thanks wildcherry for your warm welcome. Your grandma must be really nice. Hope to see her photos here some day. Congrats on your sold painting. I like the colors and the composition... beautiful! See u around :-)
Oh, that's such a rush when you go back to art after a period of inactivity! I think a lot of the greatest paintings are done after a rest, let alone the energy we bring to the easel after being away for ages.
