Hi Cat,
Good to hear you are almost done with your ATCs. No wonder you can´t find my e-mail address, because the private message/e-mail option here on CCS only works between "friends" ! (a bit silly, really.) So I have just sent you a friend request. Once you have accepted it I am going to send my post address to you in a private message. Might take a few days, though, as I am going to be out of town from Wednesday morning till Sunday. Talk to you later,
Heidi
Cat, I'm happy my poems are sparking some memories of childhood. That was part of my intention. Yes, please write them down and create your own poem of your life. I hope you'll share it with us.
Thank you Cat, and cool that you are joining the group. It is open to everyone, not just the artists. We wanted to share our work and hear what people thought and what images and stories it stirred up in them. Any in particular for you?
I so admire quilters for their exploration of the form and great manual dexterity too. I can barely thread a needle. You should see the snarled mess on the back of my embroidery LOL!
Lin's page is slower to load compared to most. Being the creative soul she is, Lin's added all sorts of widgets, videos etc to her page, so the pay off for that extra fun means it takes longer to load the page, because it's having to access a number of external sites for the widgets.
How nice to be heading into spring. We're nearing the end of our fall color. The farmers are madly picking the corn and combing the soy beans. Very agricultural area. I'll try to post some photos I have taken and also a sample of my art work.
Welcome to Florabelle's Cat! jump right in and get your feet wet (teehee, we're visiting the ocean today)
I know we can get real silly some times but its all in in good fun and Florabelle's is a place just for that, for having fun and being a kid again or to put it creatively, to let out your inner child :-)
Thanks for swinging by and leaving your comments on my page. Some of my atc's are fabric. I have seen some that are more like your beautiful quilts.
Working small is a neat way to experiment with different combinations of things you can later use as a prototype for larger work.
I have just put my quilt into my album- it was on another thread and never made it to my pictures until now. I did not know what I was doing, as your trained eye will detect- the fabric used was scraps from clothes made by my grandmother, my mother and myself, so what it lacks in technique it makes up for in sentiment.
Welcome aboard Cat! Feel free to jump right in- we like that here!
Your quilts are awesome! I like the photos you postes as well, but the quilts are.. 'WOW'
Jules

All cat people are related :). I have two - Tygr and Majik. I'll be posting their pictures later once I get the hang of the site. Have a great day!
