Hi, Laurie! Glad to see you back and interjecting your thoughts among us...I, for one, have missed you!
Have you been well? I always wonder, when someone has been away for awhile. Perhaps you were travelling? If you'd like to share your journey, I'm all ears.
My life is in a bit of a whirlwind. Suddenly, I'm taking the train from Worcester to Albany on Tuesday (where my dad is visiting my sister at her summer home) and then leaving to drive back with him to Colorado on Thursday or Friday. It wasn't the plan I had, and I'm not really happy about it. But I realized today that it's time to start "parenting the parent" and that is my reality. My dad is 84 years old, hated driving east alone, and there's just no way I'm going to let him go home to an empty house after being gone for three weeks. My mom passed away in December, and Dad just doesn't seem to be able to "acknowledge" what it is that he needs or wants...guess Mom was a bigger influence on him than I/we ever realized! LOL I know he misses her, and so do I and my siblings.
Thanks for responding to my blog, and thanks for your prayers. XOXOXOXOXO
Busy with loved ones is a great way to be :) And taking time to connect with nature. I had a strange experience last week in the back yard ... had the water hose in hand, noticed a hole in the grass, poured water into it, and got the shock of the day when a little mouse head appeared! I felt so badly, hoping she didn't have babies in there ... what have I DONE ??? But, on the other hand, glad she scampered away hopefully to find someplace not as close to my house to make a home. The doors are open a lot in summer and having a mouse family indoors would not be much fun ...
Good Morning, Laurie! I sure hope you're feeling great and that spring is finally arriving in your neck of the woods. Gray day here, but much sunshine in my heart :) I'd love to see your zentangles and doodles if you ever get a chance to post some pictures ... I'm a new addict!
