Hi Dan, Just (finally) read your article on creativity and selfishness. Wow - you've have addressed this issue SO well – I've really struggled with that. I particularly appreciated what you wrote about "Your own good feeling and happiness naturally radiates." Now I get what people have finally been trying to tell me. My repurposing efforts tend toward the practical. Example: A really old ironing board from the days when they were made of wood that I found at the Goodwill store. I cleaned it up a bit, left the original green paint on the legs, fixed the warped top and sealed it. The board now functions as a catch-all table in the entrance way. Okay, that's not creative, but I had so much fun doing it and I love the reactions of visitors! Thank you for wonderful site.

Dan, I got your e-mail request to send cards to the 18-year-old boy, Garrett, who is entering hospice. I was deeply touched by his story. I wrote a haiku and included it in my card. I also created a collage to go with the haiku. I'm dedicating my creating today--in my 30 days of Creating-- to Garrett. Thanks for letting us know how to do one small thing to brighten a sick young man's day.

Just a note to let you know I enjoyed the Daft Punk song One More Time. Really like the Daft Punk name ... ha ha! Sort of like The Fool in the tarot deck. Although it isn't my usual choice in music, I enjoyed it and the animated video. Interesting that the people are depicted with blue skin, as are many of the deities of East India. In an online discussion I was in recently, I humorously suggested we should all paint our selves blue. (Of course, someone had to say that would not work ~ because people would want different shades ... ha ha)
Can I ask you a question out of curiosity: why and how did you start to be a creativity coach?

You say I could develop it into a whole book, yet what I find difficult at the moment is plotting to such an extent as to write a novel...

How many years old are you, anyway? Your picture on the web site looks like a high school graduation photo. (A compliment!) How did you get to be so wise for one so young? I had my birthday last Thursday, el cuatro de junio, but a woman never tells her age except to say that "I'm old enough to know better, but too young to resist." B--
