thank you for explaining your creative process for the work above. I love it, it is so fresh and sophisticated. Do you also create with ideas from other world mythologies? I would love to see more works like that!
Ang, When you click on "comment" beneath a blogpost, blogger will give you options. If you don't have a blog on blogger, yet, just click on "anonymous" and it should allow you to leave a comment then.

Thanks Angie...I have heard the name Jonathon Talbot before- although I cannot remember in what context...name just sounds familiar. I will look into his book. I talked to a girl who makes jewelery at a recent arts and crafts festival - she assured me that etsy was as simple as simple could be and went on to tell me at first she sold a variety of things and did not do very well- then when she narrowed down to just her main item she began to sell (She had some awesome stuff though- in fact I bought a necklace-something rare for me)
So she got me thinking about it...I also looked into a web site-I found a place where I can get the basics free...then as things grow and you want to spread out they offer different 'expansions' for a reasonable fee.
I may have an option locally though. I just saw in the paper a new gallery place is opening in October...they call it a 'creative space' rather than art gallery- owners are mixed media/progressive art oriented. There is a big chance they would be willing to let me have a showing there- they do not sound as art snobby as what I am used to around here LOL
I have to understand and work through what is stopping me internally.
One of my 'excuses' has been that I do not have enough paintings for a good showing...so I have been painting a lot- and actually finishing them...the varnish has been put on- when it dries frame assembly will begin. With that 'reason' being out of the way maybe I can muster the self-confidence to get something out into the world. I have to tone down the Moon, rising sign and cusp influence (all water) some Aries fire and confidence would come in handy about now
Thanks for your interest
Angie, your childrens' photos are really unforgettable!!! Your creativity appears to be coming from a very authentic place!
Keep it up, creative family!!! Hugs from Dabs

Thank you for the comment on my drawing. You are making me feel very welcome here.
Angie, No problem on the response timing. I've looked at posts, then gone on through other e-mails or discussion threads, forgetting to go back & respond. No worries!
I hope everyone is doing well on your side of the world. School is in full swing here, and I'm just trying to keep up with the paperwork... :-)
Hope your children are doing well. They're blessed to have a mom that will do so many cool things with them!
Enjoy them while you can...they grow up fast...
Thanks for the welcome home, Angie.
I need to catch up on your awesome writing posts over the next few days.
Any new projects in the works?
BTW, How are your children? I hope life is going well for you & yours.

Yes Angie, I have my husband here and a Dr. Thank you so much for asking and caring.
I'm recovering from a severe anxiety disoder/depression, and it is rough.
I've received more help from you folks "miles away" at CCS than people "closer" to me.
Thank you again, and God Bless.
Carol
I know you have not mentioned writing stories but I thought there's a narrative flavour to some of your photos, that's why I asked...
hope to read some of your poems
I am looking at your photos... your work is very expressive, touches me and makes me think of childhood, with its innocence and pain... do you also write?
I have been reading Julia Cameron's "Walking in this world" and is not always easy for me to stick to her advice, especially the morning journal... but I find her work animated with love and trust and that's more than you can ask! Isn't it?
What are you working at, at the moment?
Angie, that sort of things does more to me than make me sigh. My father always taught us to leave an area so that it looks like you have never been there. I to see the trash, sometimes filth, people leave in public areas really burns me. Thanks for helping me with my "sighs!"

It's important to listen to what we need for our creativity, and we don't, and it sounds like you're doing that.
So pleased to hear how much you're enjoying CCS, go with it, do what works for you. : )
See you around the site...
Dan
I'm glad to have found such a place.
