Shayla! I am so pleased that you recognized the places in the video because you were there! How exciting!
How wonderful that the video showed your friends's backyard! Do the locals get lots of lovely rainbows like that?
It is surely a place I think I would adore to visit or even live in! I hope you get to visit this summer!
Do you go there often?
It is awesome that you lived there for a YEAR!!!
Please PM me to let me know when you post the painting! If you get back to Cap Lumiere this summer, I hope you may take some pix for your own personal recording of your sacred place and of course, to share, if you would like to!
Love and many more rainbows to you, Shayla!
Camille
Shayla! Thank you for sharing your beautiful sacred place with us! It certainly looks like a dream place to vacation...oh how lovely for those who live there!
Do you live near this place or is it a big trip for you to get there! Have any pix of your excursion there? Would enjoy seeing them!
This video is a swooner and it has a rainbow in it, just for you!

Hi there Shayla! Thank you for sharing that link from DIY...I saved it and will be rereading it over and over .... and maybe we can try some of these experiments!
What the artist wrote really makes sense: That most artists are at least a bit anti-establishment, more aware of the environment, yet we have been taught to use establishment toxic materials to create with! That is a paradox, for sure!
LOL! I hope you are doing well...shall return soon!
Hi Shayla,
I am fairly new to CCS but wan wandering around and discovered your blog and website. I love your mixed media creations. They seem so full of light, color, and texture. I am a mixed media artist (some digital art collage), watercolorist and love most mediums. I will continue to check out your blog. Please visit my website and also "marlotus says" blog. Would love your feedback.
You have a great artistic vision. It truly inspires me on my own creative path.
Take care. Bev
No problem, Shayla...you will eventually get it...when I was new to CCS, I used to post comments and pictures in the wrong discussion groups! LOL!
Keep trying. I will look for your comment. I hope I can find it this time! : )
Hi Shayla! Yes, there is a way to find out where to post....look above the comment you wish to post to,and click ont the blue letters that say "reply to this"...Sometimes we all get confused when the conversations get long...That is ok!
I do not see your post anywhere. What conversation thread did you try to post to?
Glad you enjoy the layer cake! It was made to celebrate the first Anniversary of CCS...The pink strands are indeed, cellophane excelsior!
HI Shayla! How are you?
This morning I recieved an email stating that you left a comment at the Chemical Sensitivities group, but it doesn't seem to be there...Please do repost your comment. Your feedback is very important to me and to the group!

Shayla, I understand so well. We arty types just don't know when enough is enough! Acrually I also think its a woman thing. Try to be kind to yourself and the mojo will return soon. Chat later.
Shayla these paintings are just lovely, glowing with light...what medium have you used, I especially love the golden glow tree..I think it's the 4th one, looks windswept, great sense of atmosphere and movement...nice one :-)
Clarissa Pinkola Estés is a Jungian so I think you'll find her interpretations much more resonant. Look forward to hearing what you think! Bet you end up buying your own copy;-)
That's quite true, Shayla and I've noticed it in other things as well...For eg if I go back to a particular exercise discipline after a break, I expect to find it a struggle but often find the opposite...It is as if, after some time away, we shake off some of the old bad habits we've aquired and begin with renewed energy and enthusiasm. Perhaps that's what's meant by 'Beginner's Mind'?
Thanks for looking at my work Shayla. Many people have said that Lonely Tree is their favourite also. Mine is the Tree of Life, I enjoyed doing that one so much:-)
Hey Shayla. I love your paintings. Everyone here knows I'm a sucker for anything with a tree in it but yours are really special. They feel kind of oriental but not in a derivative way. I have a Tree Of Life too!
Hi Shayla,
We are about 2 hours drive away from the mountains in the photographs. I used to live in a mountainous area when I was growing up....so they are very dear to me.
Shayla, I totally agree with your comment on elitist artists...I have a problem with those who seem to need to raise themselves above others to feel important...as a teacher, I've been snubbed by some who viewed me as less than worthy of their time, and I never left their presence thinking,"Oh, yes, they are truly wonderful; I must buy their work..." LOL!
