Hi Beth, your artwork is really cool! Your scotsman angel reminds me of the Highlander series by Diana Gabaldan, have you read any of those? I think you joining Writer's Clique would be a good thing. You could read the discussions and contribute just when you feel comfy doing so. I would suggest responding to the picture prompts. They don't require a formal finished piece of writing, but just whatever you feel like writing. Little vignettes would be fine. The writers on CCS are very supportive. Hi Beth, Cafepress is good if you really want to put the time into marketing, updating, changing your seasonal inventory...If you do a lot of craft shows, it's worth it. I was not willing to put in the time to market or go to craft shows either, but that is just my personal preference. Many artists seem to have the time and energy to work their online stores, promote them online, and sell them at craft shows...it is worth it if you are willing...
You can open a free store first to see if you like the way your art shows up on their printed products...If you just want to sell prints and framed prints, it is only $50 to open a full-line store! There is a lot of competition there, but if you have the web marketing smarts (I don't), it really is worth it!
Without trying very hard, I sold a lot more than I thought. The tiles and tile boxes looked fabulous they and the baby tshirts sold more than other products...The tiles also made a big hit at the craft shows.It depends on the whether the themes and images you create appeal to the popular. If you are good with graphic art, all the more power to you!
They had a very friendly and helpful staff, online discussions dealing with aspects of marketing, etc. They also have national meet-ups! They are a very successful company, so out of all the similar art printing sites I have seen, this one is very high profile.

Ah, sorry I missed you this morning, Beth! You're probably one of the few who have enough sense to stay away from chatting the day away and actually get a lot of creative things accomplished! THATS why I love working with them
they all have their voices...we just have to learn how to let go of our veils to feel what we need...they are very helpful as youre seeing! We are attracted to the stones that want to help us at that particular moment!

Stones like all things have thier "jobs" as I call it
Moonstone helps balance women/ the feminine and definatley empowers us in times of need and in general. Labradorite is one of those lovely stones that are related to moonstone(they are both from the Feldspar family) and are filled with color from their refraction or chatoyant qualities. I like Labradorite for helping us to prioritize ourselves....when we are overwhelmed and in need of direction it helps us to "go" and find the strength to continue and create
Reiki is what our Mewses have taught us humans. Have you ever noticed how your kits come to you when youre not feeling well and become the warmest heating pads possible(or is that paw-sible? haha) they are channeling universal energy to help their pack feel better! we too can do this without depletion. we just need to tap into the Universal energy that is available to all of us and become conduits for that energy to heal ourselves and others!

thats what I was meaning when pieces/stones/settings/ paintings and all "talk" to us.
we have but to listen and not let our egos get too terribly in the way

been a hard day and I have about 4 billion errands to run after I get off work (JOYGASM!)

I ADORE your horses!
Ive had the opportunity when working at a vets clinic to handle a couple and found them very intuitive and understanding of those who would "talk" to them either verbally or non verbally...very interesting lovely creatures!
creative processes?
I am a Crystal/Reiki healer and in making jewelry I bring the person for whom Im making whatever item or if the item has not called to its owner or talked to me (usually they just tell me to CREATE WOMAN CREATE) I listen and make. Sometimes they tell me no! not that way but THAT way and I go with that flow. I have my little mewses too...all three Spot, Haley and Jones....very verbal and Jones is my inspector General of all things created.
long and short of it, I find I have to listen to the intuitive or things just get jumbled and the creativity process involved gets gummed up. Hope that makes sense?

I need to extend a gazillion apologises for not responding to your JAN 08 message about the Scottish translation of Kai (daughter of fire)
Cai is the nicname given me becuz Im a water baby and in hawaiian it means OCEAN...my parents would have to yank me from the water in Hawaii becuz I never would come out otherwise!
I would have been with the dolphins! (see pic adjacent, its the casting of a dolphin vertebrae)
again, a million pardons !!!! its only been what? 10 months????????
Im back here as I saw the 30 days of creativity (daily producing) and its a GREAT GROUP!
now off I go to check out all YOUR goodies!
