I just bought Inktense and am excited to try them. I also make jewelry and paint and draw. I also make altered books and cards. I love to doodle too. What are inchies? I am presuming 1 inch miniature Art works. These paintings are watercolours on fabric embellished with silk ribbon embroidery I created in 1997.
Thanks for the info on Inktense pencils, now I know I neeeed them .. LOL! We'll have another inchie swap quite soon, I'm sure ... the lil buggers are addicting!
oh gosh Danielle I just looked at your jewellery it is so gorgeous! Where I lived in Greece was a turtle conservation project for the loggerhead turtles, and I'm going back this year to do some retreats, I've often seen the turtles when I've been on a boat and did go with some turtle workers to watch them laying their eggs one night - it's magical. Again so lovely to see your gorgeous stuff on ccspace x b
Wow it must be so satisfying to sell your creations widely, as well as divide your time between two places that are so different.
In one of the recent discussions ("Is creativity a little too important to you?") someone raised the question that maybe going for a creative job/carreer would take the joy out of creating so there would be no motivation left for creating for fun and for yourself when the work day was done....I haven´t checked whether you added to the topic today, but maybe you would have something to say about it.... Just a thought. In my non-creative job, the thought strikes me from time to time - "would I be happier if...." and I honestly don´t know.
Hi Danielle,
thank you for the friend request. I was just about to ask if you lived somehwere tropical, because your jewelry is so beachy - not to mention the titles of many of the pieces - but now I see you live in NYC, so nevermind ;-)
Are you able to make a living from your jewelry design and other art?
Heidi
I like your web site. I've made and sold jewelry at craft shows locally in Central Oregon ... lots of fun :) I did more beadweaving with the tiny seed beads.
I'm who you would send the 1" x 1" art to. The swap is for 5 pieces. Send me a message if you decide to jump in, and I can send you my address.
Welcome to this group, you are already a member of the 1"x1" group.
The only rule is the measurement 1 inch by 1 inch. You may collage, draw, paint, use fibre....
That is up to you.
The current project is make five cards theme was free. The closing date was 28th of Januari.
As you live in the States and manage to make 5 of them and send them for the end of the week,
your welcome. I post mine yesterday, and I live in the Netherlands and the takes 7 to 10 days to
get in the States.
Let me know, and I will send you Barbara's adress where you have to send the inchies too.
Hope you will enjoy the inchies like we do,
