Hi ... I know! I was so shocked too. I felt kinda bad for Chris, because he really seemed like he felt he didn't deserve it. He said, "Adam deserves this..." But like you said, Adam is already famous, and he will just get more famous by the minute. Maybe it's good that Chris gets the extra boost from the win. All in all, it was exciting :-).
Mary, I love how you don't mince words :-). I didn't like that song they each had to sing at the end either ("pa-tooey"!) But I have liked Chris, I must admit. I think it's his guitar and piano along with his singing I like. Still no match to Adam though!
Hi Mary, Did you watch AI last night? Exciting! ... I thought both were a little off except for the first songs. But that Adam, man can he sing. I like Kris a lot, but his voice just didn't seem as strong as Adam's. Well, they will both be stars, and Adam will be a super-star. I was sad Danny didn't make the finals. Thanks for listening! Guess I should check My Page more often! Anyway, your comment made my day -- it was fun to hear from you. How are you feeling today? It is nice to know someone who "gets" that horrible fatigue, but at the same time I am sorry that you have to experience it, along with the pain. You do such a good job of keeping a positive spirit. Oh, and thank you for the tips on drawing -- I love the idea of drawing a picture that's already been drawn. Fiona has recommended using a lightbox. She said she had learned a lot from tracing things. I haven't done much art lately, just lots of doodles. I hope you are doing well -- touch base when you can ...

I, too, am teaching myself to draw and paint ... have lots of books and supplies ... but I also find myself drawn to the TV instead of doing my art! I was glad to hear I am not alone in that :-). I also need a lot of idle time, but it's hard to come by with two kids (ages 5 and 9). I steal away whenever I can. And I have Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, so I understand hurting ... I don't know the actual pain of RA (and I am so sorry you have that), but I do know pain and fatigue.
I need to go read your Mellow Yellow blog while I have the chance! That photo of the yellow rose is absolutely gorgeous. Did you take that?
I look forward to seeing a lot of you here at CCS ... so glad to know you!

Well hey, I have been here once! Here I am again :) Just about to nod out for the night. It's nice having someone else in the same time zone to hang out with at night! Too funny about us both posting the same vid in your discussion. Drop on over to my page if you get a chance and check out the photos if you want... yawn ... I really need to get my last mandala finished, it's 18" and I haven't worked on it since last year! Busy with the VOG stuff and helping a friend move, but hopefully that will slow down a bit now and I can get back to it. YAWN ...
Hi Mary and welcome to CCS! Great photo :) I lived in So Cal for many years, relocated to Central Oregon in '95 and love it here. It was nice in So Cal though to be able to visit the mountains and the beach in the same day, in the winter time! Where I live now the Cascade Range is between me and the Pacific, and I usually only venture through the mountains to the coast in seasons other than the snowy one :)
