I've taken some time for my third day, just because I've been very busy, and couldn't get to the computer.
I've been working on a new fusing project. It 's a kind of figure which is not ready yet. It has a mold which needs time to be made and then next Friday I'll have to fill in the mold with glass.I'll take photos of the whole project to share it with you.
I've also been very busy getting ready for Christmas.I have some gifts to prepare for one of my customers, so my creativity has been there these days.
This is an example of the kind of project I've been working on

(This one is not mine, mind you.I'll post mine when I have it)

Patricia, I can't wait to see what you make! I also love colored glass...now when I'm at the beach I'm always looking for "sea glass" instead of shells (although broken shells are still a passion of mine).

I just love COLOR! XO

I love colored glass ... probably why I got so involved with beading many years ago. I collect colored glass bottles and set them in the windows, and purchase stained glass pieces whenever I can afford to. I look forward to seeing what comes out of the kiln :)

Yes, I've found it surfing the net, looking for the kind of project my teacher was talking about, Fusing is a way to work with glass. You design something on a papaer or not, then you cut the pieces of glass needed for your project. Once they are painted with special paint (it's not the one you use in stained glass)you stick the pieces together with glue and then take your project on a mold to your kiln. It's heated to a certain degree, then the piece is ready. In USA people use special glasses instead of painting the pieces. It's great fun, I love it.
The one I'm doing this time (similar to the photo) is quite different, just because you have to make your mold (materials are a little toxic) I love making the mold but I don't think it'll be something I'll do often just because of the toxic side of the process. Patricia, that object is beautiful! Is it some kind of glass project? What is fusing?
