Hi, Everybody-

I haven't been around because I've had a terrible time lately. I think I mentioned that my uncle passed away in Nov. Just after that, my aunt fell and broke her hip. While she was in the hospital, she fell and broke her rib. I was getting ready to go stay with her in March when she died. On my birthday, no less. We were all reeling from that when my mother had a serious accident.

She got up in the middle of the night, just like my aunt, and she fell into an armoire, head first. We had to call an ambulance and I literally shook all over for about 24 hours. We were trying to deal with all that when two nights later she got up and couldn't walk. She had somehow broken both bones in her ankle and had been walking on it for two days.Another ambulance in the middle of the night, a day in the ER, a trip to another hospital and two days waiting for them to get around to operating on it. Then, sleeping at the hospital because she couldn't be left alone. We've had a few weeks of that now, and they've got her ready to come home Tuesday.

The DAV- Disabled Veterans - came this morning and built a ramp so we can get her into the house. I couldn't believe they did it on Memorial day, but they did and it's great. The county paid for it, so at least we didn't have to come up with extra cash right now.

So mom will be home, and dad and I will be taking care of her. I'll be around more, but I don't know how busy I'll be. Our place is small and it's going to be an adjustment while she's in a wheel chair.

I do want to make sure that I do some art and I'm really going to try to share what I'm doing here. Please don't hesitate to include me in the conversation - it brightens my day to hear from you all.

Peace,

Morgaine

Hi, Everybody-

Thanks so much for your support. Unfortunately, Mom didn't get to come home today. She may need more surgery, but we won't know until tomorrow. The saga continues - ha ha.

Doodling sounds like a great idea!

God bless those veterans! Hearing that makes Memorial Day more special :)

Healing and loving energy coming your way from Oregon, Morgaine, it's been a very rough few months for you all ... glad to hear your mom is coming home at last and that you have your dad's help in keeping up with her care. Be sure to allow him to help as much as possible, so you will have some "me" time every day.

Hi Morgaine, sorry that you and your family have had such a rough time lately. Drop by CCS when you can, like Camille said the doodling group could be a good place to visit, without pressure to create anything "big".

Wow, Morgaine...you sure have been going through heavy duty challenges! I am so sorry about all this! It must be a relief that your Dad will be around to help your Mom.
Creativity might be just the thing to help you get you back to yourself and your center and away from all the trauma. Even if you only do some doodling...check out the new doodling group. It has been a fun and extremely interesting time over there! It may be a way to get back into creating without the stress of having to do something masterful!
I will be looking for you around CCS!
My prayers are with you and your family!
Love and blessings from Camille

Morgaine it's good to see you on CCS again.

Sorry to hear about your losses and the difficult few months you've had, it must've been an emotional time. I hope your mother is as comfortable as possible in the circumstances and has a speedy recovery...

Please share whatever creative projects you're working on with us here, and be as involved as you can be. As you know there's a huge source of support here.

Glad you're back,

Dan
