It just seems the years go by faster and faster! I'm actually glad this year is almost done, cuz it's been a doozy... lol!
I am back to no art again- just not up to it- but I want to share my progress on my junk journal!

I took a whole bunch of pictures, but didn't want to overload our group, s…

Hey everyone!
I'm a bit tired to re-type this, so I'm pasting it from my blog:
Went to the doc's yesterday and got the go ahead to do art again! Woohoo! I was told no driving (at all!) and no heavy lifting. Other than that, I'm good!
I still have pain at the base of my neck and soreness at my shoulders, but he said there wasn't anything he could do about that and to have patience- it may go away. I can live with that... as long as I can go back to work and do my art... I'M GOOD! lol
I see him…

Hello everyone!
Just a quick update. Went to the doc's for a final checkup and everything is a go! Surgery on Wednesday @ 2pm. It will take at least four hours and I'll spend two days in the hospital. 8-12 weeks for recovery...?!? I am soooo ready for this!

Hi CCSer's!
Just wanted to update you on my situation. I will be going in for surgery on November 18th @ 2pm. I'll probably keep up the art up to the first week of November, but then I have to clean everything up and get ready for the surgery.

Isn't this sad, to take over my livingroom like th…

I was very excited to share with you all the results of the consultation!
Although my scans and tests show that I have compression on the spinal cord, my body is not showing the effects, so the doc recommends that I take a cortizone shot. He asked me if I can live with what I have right now (yeah, if I didn't have to work!). He says 50/50 the shot will work. If not, then surgery will be the next step. 80/20 in that case.
Sooooo, I have to wait for the shot approval and see if it works before I…

Hi my CCS family!
I wanted to give you an update on me this time!
I went to the doc's today to find out the results of my MRI. I don't have a "foreign body" in my elbow after all! good thing.
Bad thing, I have bulging discs in my neck that are compressing the spinal cord... hence, the numbness and pain. The doc figured it was serious enough that I was taken off work immediately and she is referring me to a neurosurgeon. I have an appointment with him next Wednesday.
On a lighter note (not!),…

Hello everyone!
It's with a sad heart that I come to tell you that Garrett passed away Friday morning.
I don't have much to say about it, other than his grampa (my co-worker) was at work today, because our wonderful company doesn't offer days off for bereavement of a grandchild. Isn't that crazy? Mark received an attendance point for calling to tell the supes his grandchild died.
On that sad note (I'm sorry!), I'm going to bed.

Hello everyone!
I spoke to Mark (Garrett's grampa, my co-worker) today and found out that Garrett has received over 900 cards these past few weeks! How awesome is that? Apparently, Garrett's sister posted on the internet also and the family had an article in the local newspaper.
On a sad note, Garrett is not doing so well. Mark said he only has weeks left (and he's being generous). The cards are covering Garrett's room and spilling into other rooms of the house. Mark also asks if you can contin…

Thank you Dan, for helping me spread the word about Garrett! I couldn't get online long enough to write a post over the weekend. You said it far better than I could have! Thank you!
I forgot to mention, to Dan and everyone involved with this little project, that I am asking for cards, but I'm not going to tell Garrett's grampa that I put out this request. I just wanted Garrett to know that people all over the world know and care about him and that he's not alone. People DO care and you're proof…

Hello everyone!
I'm so sorry to be gone forever again. I had a very eventful couple of months. I moved and my oldest daughter got married! Since I don't have much time, I blogged about it on my LiveJournal: http://whymsicallotus.livejournal.com/
Please take a look. I danced for the couple and managed not to make a mistake! I was soooo nervous. I really hate this video, but I promised several of you that I would post it. I also have a video of my daughter doing a solo of her own!
I will be uplo…

Just popping in again. I wanted to show you my latest carve and I also added a few pages from my art journal in the photos. I am now back to work and I was just given full time! Woohoo... eh... ; ) Good for the money, horrible for the home life. I'm very thankful though! Hubby and I are working steadily.
Here are my new stamps!

Hey wonderful CCSer's!
I've had my stitches out for a few days now and I've shamefully been using my poor hand again. I'm trying to be good, but sometimes I get soooo frustrated when I need to do something two-handed and there's no one around to help!
It sure has been interesting discovering I am seriously ambidextrous. I find that my creativity is flourishing, because I'm being forced to use my left hand so much. I would like to say that I will keep it up (using my left hand for creating my ar…

this is not bad, no worries...
it's actually kind of funny. i have given my poor left hand such a workout that my carpal tunnel scar created 15 years ago, is aching! stinging, more like. my hand is sore and i can't rub it.
also, i think hubby was a bit impatient with me when i asked him to clip my nails (lol). i hate long nails and mine were chipping and looking pretty dirty from the paint. he clipped the index finger too close to the bed and it hurts. i'm taking a break from typing too.
my s…

Hi everyone!

I fell in love with this cutie! I don't know her culture, but I love the beads dangling from her head. Gotta go, but I wanted to share this with you!

Hello everyone!
Here's a quick tutorial on what I did for the draft dodger. What a difference it's made in my home!
First, go and measure the front of your widest door. Mine was the front door, at 32.5". Sorry to those that use the metric system! I'm barely able to cope with feet and inches... lol!
