Light the sticks, arm the pipe
Prepared for the maiden flight
Cloud
All encompassing cloud swirls ‘round
Pull me up then drop me down
Feed me patterns and heavy sounds
Set me free then keep me bound
Cloud has changed over the years
Improved, they say, do not fear
What we heard isn’t what we hear
Cloud is cold and insincere
Cloud was close, Cloud was warm
Had the magic to transform
Now Cloud precedes storm
Not the exception but the norm
Cloud is banished, sent away
Buried…

How Sweet the Sound
I remember when you were born
So far away
Your mother called
Just to say
A new life had begun
In the usual way
The amazing you
Were born that day
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound….
The sound of children laughing.
To join your brother
Of barely a year
A pretty sister
With eyes, bright and clear
A smile that gave,
That endeared
Despite the bedlam
And the fear…
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound…
The sound of children laughing.
The tortured existence
That you…

We reap other’s bad actions
We sow our own
We play to the factions
Closest to home
The worse the deed
The more voracious the seed
And the weeds ever keep on growing
We stare aghast
Our conscience bleeds
Our recent past
Where demons breed
The pusher’s hired
To keep us wired
As long as we may stop knowing
We know the cause
The dynamics are clear
We inherit flaws
From what we fear
Now the threat is gone
Yet we’re still the pawn
And the account’s outstanding, still owing
Must pay the piper
What w…

The in between notes
Implied by chords
Make me float
Like soft words
Suspending
Augmenting
And finally diminishing
Like words unsaid
Tacit, in the throat
But instead
We stay remote.
Yet on pages adjacent
The staves and phrases
Rise then fall
Whisper praise
Then nothing at all
Or have I become too complacent?
Thunder roars
From timpani skins
Your melody soars
From deep within
A symphony unfinished

All relative
A grey day. Outside all is in disarray
Bright colours congregate at the drains
The elm tree bends, as if to say
Dear wind, you may blow and rain
I have seen you, before today
And although you are a strain
I fear not of your display
Of dominance and disdain
I say, I am here to stay
Despite what you entertain
And the wind replied with a twinkling eye
You have seen squalls and have seen gales
And perhaps even a hurricane
You’ve seen rain and snow, wind and hail
All just moods…

This blogging business is wicked on the brain dead. My justification for truancy are the Montreal Canadians, the local religion. Actually they should be called the Montreal Russians. They are definitely an energetic bunch. It makes me tired just watching them. Well that's all for tonight folks. Toodaloo ( wow-spelling checker suggests Sandalwood, Tuscaloosa, Floodplain, Bloodbaths and floodgates). If I yawn any harder I'll turn inside out!!!
Beware of the bloggie man.

It is finally safe to back out of my driveway. I have shovelled enough of the snowbanks so I can see what's going to hit me before it does. Up until today the process was to back out, hoping and praying that whoever was coming up the street would realize what was going on and slow down or leave me a wide berth. Yesterday I nearly got shmucked by a baseball capped, steering wheel crouching yahoo in a Honda with a wing that could've turned the Spruce Goose into a short take off aircraft. For all t…

The radio has an amazing power to transport to a frozen point in time. Years after feelings fade in to the past, they are brought to the forefront by the same song that coincided with their initial sharing of space, only with a sense of disorientation, accentuating the incongruency of time warp. The juxtapositioning of you and a page or chapter of your life that has been earmarked for whatever reason rips the mental time continuum open leaving a perceptional wound, then a scar, and then it’s gon…

Saturday was a nice day to escape the gravity of my computer. I wandered around watching the water flowing everywhere as the snow melted. I bought some daffodils from a representative of the cancer society. One of my refugees made a marvellous paella for supper. I read that the head of the Federation International de l'automobile got caught with his pants down mutter naughty nazi things to several prostitutes all on film. I saw the person who he fined $50,000,000 (yep, that's 50 million) who nev…

Day-6 I suppose I will soon have to redo Windows in my computer. It has taken to freezing up and producing blue screens. It is such a time consuming to do this properly as it involves deep formatting the heard disk, which involves backing up so many things and finding all the program and driver disks. Computers are such cantankerous contraptions I sometimes become wary about hanging out with them as maybe
some of their cantankerousness will rub off (yeah right!!! The computer probably got it fro…

Today was a most forgettable day. If this had been the last day of my life I would have thrown all the toys out of my pram. I wouldn't even give it the title of "Dog Day", as a conversation, no matter how one sided, with a dog would have improved the day immeasurably. Uninspired!!
The sort of day when one questions ones selections, choices and options and comes up short. I wonder where Little Itch is these days? I think she was perhaps the muse I should have pursued but I was always intimidated…

Day-4 The good -The sun is back. The bad - it's still below freezing so the snow's not melting. I was thinking I would follow Anne's example and commit to writing this blog every day for a month...but... I am sure if I did that I wouldn't. I would probably do this to spite the part of me that makes rules. It's those shoulder people. They're giving me multiple personalities! I'm still trying to remove the beans from my ears.
Then comes the revelation!!!!! My computer freezes, total lock up. Now I…

The weatherlady has condemned us to 5 inches of snow and freezing rain combined with 50 mph winds. Lovely, just @$#% Lovely!
The Novation Synthesizer people want $55 up front and $90 an haour +Postage and handling to fix noise making apparatus.
I think talking to notaries and bank managers is not good for one's sense of humour. I hope I am not good for their senses of humour.
Happy April fools day to the foolers and foolees.

More @#%$ snow. The drifts are still 7-8 ft, high and the stuff keeps falling, Maybe I should start building a slark!
I'm trying to figure out if I'm suppose to answer comments on the same page as I read on my page or if I'm supposed to go to the home page of those who've commented, and answer there. Life is full of decisions and conundrums. Thank the lucky stars for spelling checkers. Thanks to each and everyone who was kind enough to comment / message me. If I haven't replied properly it is no…

Day 1or is that evening 1. The day before April Fool's day. Could this be an omen? I hope not.
It was so nice that it didn't snow today. It was super nice that my refugees made a great super.
I can't remember the last time I was lying down reading and had the delightful odour of home
cooking sneak into my old olfactory factory. A lovely surprise. Another lovely surprise is this site
as I've been wishing for a place to post some music I've done over the years. Thank you very much
Anne. This is th…
