dear creative community: finally back in town. had a few days of much-needed re-grouping/re-couping then got an unexpected, but pleasant visit from my sister and her friend. nice to be able to show off our island, despite the raindrops!.whidbey island is so beautiful, even in the mist. spent one day in pj's working on altered books, too. always a treat!
time away from my home is always interesting. i'm gleefully newly-wed (amost four years, but i plan on being on my honeymoon FOREVER!)

okay, kinda a "working" holiday. my bestest friend in the whole wide world is in an arts festival near las vegas, NV. i helped her last year and we had a blast! and she had the most sales ever over a weekend, so i must have been good luck!! (silly grin) anyhow, it's a GO for this year, as well. since i moved to the island, i have seen her twice a year, so that's pretty wonderful, but heading to los angeles has it's pluses, too, as my teenaged son lives there, and it's a nice chance to do a ha

the studio tour was this weekend and it was great! my first. i had decided at the beginning of the year to make it one of my creative goals. whidbey island, WA has an awesome array of ridiculously talented artist living here. heck, one could throw a stone and hit twenty artists in the "noodle" in one toss. we have it all here.......writers, muscians, visual artists.......the gamut! nice to be surrounded by such a strong creative vibe!
