Behind a mask

Dear friends,
These are a couple of masks i made. Do you hide behind a mask? I try to be as authentic as i can be but sometimes i hide behind a mask of acceptability. What about you?

A great artist date

As a few of you know I find it hard to travel far due to health problems. What I do is go to motels and stay overnight. I just did another motel visit 10 minutes from where I live!!!! I took along a box of art materials to do some art, books, crochet. I watched TV and visited the local… Continue

Susan, great to hear about your yoga, I love how you take your time and try to do things the best you can.

I've not really done any. The closest I've come is a bit of basic tai chi, which I enjoyed. In a way it was like salsa in very very slow motion, quite a similar flowing motion. I'm sure when the time is right I'll begin yoga. : )

Hi Susan, I liked hearing that the computer has helped to inspire you. I've worked on a computer for a l.o.n.g. time - but - really only started using it for creative networking and inspiration recently, when I got into digital scrapbooking. it's amazing how the computer can open up worlds for us, isn't it? Hey - we're talking right now and we're on different sides of the world! How cool.

Hey Susan! I like the word you use: naive. Reminds me of the quote from Picasso "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." Sometimes adult life get so complicated and it takes something like a breakdown to remember the beauty of simplicity and creating from the heart. Hmmmm....you ask some good questions, real thinkers! It's funny, I think I'm more surprised THAT i create than by WHAT I create, lol. I have a lot of complex ideas swimming in my head and haven't worked very consistently at making them a reality. But I am surprised, yes, by the new directions....how one project makes me think/learn of another completely different one. A winding road...How 'bout you?

Ohh, no, no, no...not at all. I'm very excited to see your stuff. I was just worried I'd be missing something along the way 'cause so many conversations are going. I'm easily lost...can barely keep my own head straight, lol. Happy to read your posts and see your work on any thread at all! :)
