I'm a huge fan of the blues, Eric Bibb being my fave but Marcia Ball, The Subdudes, and many others ranking up there with him. Worcester has a great jazz & blues station, WICN.org - you can listen online!

He created a NING site and we spread the word at local blues jams and it went well for a while, but I did learn that 1 percent of the people do 90 percent of the work. A lot of people joined the NING site but never contributed. Many who did contribute seemed to have the attitude of "what's in it for me?" and if the answer wasn't immediate gratification via more gigs and money then ... eventually, I decided to focus on my art, and withdrew (I'm not a musician or a promoter, only a fan) ... and shortly thereafter egos got out of control and the site still has 70plus members ... but zero activity. I don't want to discourage you! If it's your passion, I'm sure you can make it happen. Supportive people make a lot of difference though ... indifference doesn't help anyone! Best of luck with it ... I'd join (thanks for the invite!) but I have too many other irons in the fire :)
