Now, I do hope you have fun, I really do. But I want to acknowledge that you haven't been having much fun lately, or for a long time, that's the way it seems to me. I'm glad you're here, Charlene, and I'm glad you've found Dan, Camille and Lin, and the others, and I admire you for the way you haven't given up after your bad experience with your teacher. It takes courage to bare your soul. I really do love your photos. I'm envious of your ability with a camera. (I'm assuming you took the photos.)
I wish you peace, and happiness, and yeah, a bit of fun, too, if it's possible. But certainly, I hope you find the peace and the happiness.

I enjoy love your photos. Where was the photograph of the mountains and water taken? It's such a glorious photo, and if you took it, I'm jealous, because my photos look like... well, nothing much. The photo reminds me of Milford Sound in New Zealand.
I hope you carry on with your scrapbooking, and you keep on having fun with it.

Mary Hicks said… - Hello Charlene! It's been a couple of years since I did any serious scrapbooking, but I do understand where you are coming from. I just looked at your photos -- why don't you choose one of those photos, print one out, and use it as a background for one of your pages? There's enough light to write the story of the page, and enough dark to hold a picture or two.
My favorite part of scrapbooking is telling the story of the page/picture. That's what you're creating for your descendants -- a story. The pictures are important, but the story is more important -- in your own handwriting, if you're comfortable doing that.
You've inspired me to post some of my own scrapook pages when I get back home (late August), and I hope that before then you'll share some of your scrapook pages here with us in this very safe, very positive place.

- Well thanks for the brief bio, I feel I know you better already. Am glad to hear you have a healed relationship with your mother. So many people never get to that point and then have a terrible time dealing with it after its too late. So you are blessed!
You should check out some of the groups if you have time for foolin' around. We're a bunch of loonies but that's a great group to hang out with when you're wanting to spread your creative wings.
Some of the folks here already know how to fly and they're showing the rest of us how. :-)

- COOL!!! YA KNOW, DONNA'S ONE TOO AND SO AM I ! I was raised in Augusta, GA and spent some time in Atlanta, Chamblee, Decatur, Edenton, places around there...moved to CA when I was 18 and then to AZ in 97
i miss the trees and sometimes the moisture :-)
