Chris, what a wonderful post! I'm feeling very peaceful after reading it. You are so right....I know I'll be rereading it again to keep your message fresh in my mind!

Dan, With my reasonably new philosophy of baby steps and easy does it I got a yoga book with about 10 different movements and I learnt one at a time and kept adding a new one when I felt I was ready. It has taken me 9 months to do......seriously 9...

Wendy...what DJ said :-) I do agree with you that having a 'paint over' done could be a good learning tool...however not one to totally rely on. I think it lost as much as it gained in his rendition. He turned up the glow- and that brought an int...

hey wendy - just dropping by briefly... this is an interesting development and the use of light and shade is intersting.. but somehow it lacks feeling. I dont like the eyes in the pro's version and the rag doll has become fairly superfluous in my ...

Dan, I have just been reading all about the benefits of yoga and stilling the mind and balancing oneself...mind, body and spirit. I am certainly trying to do more of it in my life. lots of love from susan in australia

This is such an intriguing idea, but one we often seem so averse to. By having still, quiet time, by stopping to listen, by letting go, we create space for good new stuff in our lives. I think we can get very attached to the idea that "being creat...

Wendy, It is true that more creative things come in to fill spaces. I often create spaces in my life for new things. I love seeing what turns up. Many of my dreams are answered this way. lots of love from susan in australia

Great idea! We did this a while back in a discussion but I can't find it now, so I thought I'd start a new one: http://coachcreativespace.ning.com/forum/topics/my-creative-work-space

This is way cool. You've got a lot going on in there! This drawing keeps me looking closely to recognize importnat things...the swet hous and flower....choppy waves...hey , I think I just realized that one can view this from upside down, too! Cool!!

Wow, this is really lovely, and your story made all the more poignant. Sounds like you use creativity for healing...I really admire you for that! And, I'd love to hear more about your connection/association with willow trees.

DJ, you are so sweet :) thank you very much. Know what? I do, too, lol! I really love the way he did the lighting but, I dunno, I kind of wanted her to be a little more...hmmm...is cartoonish the word? "Stylized" is probably a better word. The co...

Thanks for posting this, Susan. I tend to be a total slob, in general ;) but especially on my art table. Every once in awhile – often when I'm starting a new project or a new stage in a project, I clear it all off and start anew. I find it very re...

Just followed a link from a comment on the Main page to your 30 days of creating discussion, Wendy .. wowzers =) I kept backstepping a page to see what some of the comments were referring to, and now I know I must start at the beginning and read it through forwards ... just wanted to say how awesome it is to see the creativity connection flowing between you all who have been participating in your discussion, it's magical! I so wish more members of CCS would find the courage to ask questions and share more. Congrats on participating in your first SHOW .. hee hee!
You're an inspiring artist and I'm so glad to see you giving your "personal" art more credibility. The girl with the hair over her mouth is so intriguing, I thought for sure you were painting her with paints .. I'm so dazzled by your digital graphics abilities and again I just have to say WOWZERS! Love it! And thanks!

Thanks for your nice comment on my cactus garden, Wendy. When I sit at my computer I can glance out the window at it. You've got to create a niche for yourself, even if it's small and indoors. Your own personal space would be great to just zone out and listen to your iPod, write in a journal or doodle in a sketchbook. Keep creating!

No problem Wendy...there is a very good chance that you will need to remind me of these strategies sometime down the road...that inner critic does not give up easily LOL
These were still fresh in my mind, because I just has one fabric and two small paintings accepted for a sale/exhibit a few weeks ago...and it was not until I was there and saw them among the others...saw a few folks stick their nose into them for a closer inspection...did I really feel as if they belonged there as much as the others did. That was when I got the idea to take a photo as a solid, tangible reminder
Critic crushers must stick together :-)

Hi Wendy,
I am really interested in your project, please tell me how it all started!

As to my fairy tale, I would need your email address, as I can't send an attachment here.

Wendy, your progress on your project is fun to follow. And, don't be concerned about sharing here at CCS; if someone is bothered, they can leave the page. :-) Keep creating.

LOL!
Yeah, I think I got my "talent" from my mom and dad. We're all self-taught. He didn't show me how to do things, but I think it's in the genes... ; ) I never saw these until the date I made the layout; sometime in December of '04? Mom found them. Mom is a wonderful seamstress.
