For me,drawing is the fun part.

Sometimes,I think we can try too hard to achieve something and it makes it more elusive.
I had so much fun playing with texture today ,it doesnt really bother me...
Okay, this beautifully done drawing reminds me one more time, I need to spend some time on life drawings!
Oh I love this, it's somehow so alive, even though it's a static drawing, I can imagine it dancing!

Your friend's painting made me think of Andy Warhol's prints of famous people like Marilyn Monroe. The colour of them was nothing to do with realism, and had a completely different, experimental role.

Know what? You don't have to rush into color at all - if something else is more important to you now, go for it. Color will still be there whenever you are ready :) That being said, a friend of mine recently did a painting of sunflowers. The color...
I love colourlovers.com, it is a visual feast! On a practical level, it's helped me experiment with different palettes for the design of some of my websites etc. Really cool site...

When I was younger, I used acrylics to produce some very beautiful equines..with white and a primary..made winged appaloosas,stuff like that. It was fun..
I want to make drawings that are accurate....
