JUST ANOTHER DAY IN AFRICA

An old friend of mine who used to live in Zambia sent me the most astonishing photographs of elephants at Mfuwe Lodge, South Luanga National Park, Zambia. The lodge was unwittingly built on the herds migratory path to some wild mango trees on the property. The dozen or so elephants aren't going to let a little… Continue

TIM HAWKINSON

This work by Tim Hawkinson is called Sweet Tweet. Not all of his works are as innocent and as whimsical as this piece however. A small "Bird" looks fascinating until you realize it is made from finger nail pairings. Eeww! Very clever though.

Out of Africa

Pages from Peter Beards journals.

I became intrigued with art journalling after reading an article about Peter Beard, a controversial photojournalist who transformed journalling into an artform. This was long before art journalling became popular on the internet.

Thanks to a trust fund he was able to jet all over the…

Robyn- thanks for taking the time to peek at my photos and drop a few comments. It could not have come at a better time- as I have finally made the decision to start showing my art locally, rather than just at CCS. It is easier for me to silence .my 'Eeyore' inner critic who always brays "it'll never work' after some positive reinforcement. Eeyore is quite today :-)

Robyn, Thanks for reading my "stuff" on my page...As for the angel comment, all I can say is, "Takes one to know one!"~ I enjoy your art to no end, and I admire your engaging personality. I've said it before: it's a good thing we're on different continents; we'd never get any work done...
ok, maybe a little, but... :-)

Hi Robyn!
Thank you So much for visiting my blogs/galleries. I took a look at your, too. AMAZING. I am so in love with your work. Seriously. I especially like your "Door: Tree of Knowledge" piece. Every compartment holds objects elevated into something sacred...wonderful!

Hi Robyn!
Just noted your Eckhart Tolle quote, a good one, in one of the threads, and wanted to drop in and greet you while you were online ... I haven't been around too much lately either, sort of in an isolated mode for a bit ... Hope you and your loved ones have been feeling well and enjoying life :) Hugs!
