Sussex eh? I somehow thought you were in the States for some reason, the video made me think that. That's the thing with the internet, you could be on the other side of the world or just down the road. Whereabouts were you making that stack? I've ...

Tee hee! That's tickled me! Windy? You call that windy? That's not a proper gale. You can't call yourself a rock balancer until you have done one in a hurricane! You really don't want me to give away my trade secrets do you? That would take all t...

Nice contrast the inner yellowish square of leaves to the more maroon/orange outside. Very eye-opening. Makes me want to see what is inside! More beauty, I am sure! Is this book now in bookstores?

I joined up over here a few days ago but I haven't had the time to investigate what I should be doing. Still, since then, I have had some very kind messages so I realise I have stumbled on to something good.

As I was finishing up yesterday and packing up the car I saw some red leaves on the pavement. I went to pick them up and a voice behind me said "are you Escher?"

I was completely bamboozled and just said "yes?!"

It turned it that Litrate (his Flickr moniker) was off to take a picture of t… Continue

loving the book.. very inspirational.... j

hey richard...
spent a lot of today reading your book and absorbing your photos. then i went outside and had a go....

cant upload the photo of the output til later in the week as took photo on new camera and havent got the usb lead yet to download to computer! anyway, it will make you laugh as its so bad... but hey we have to start somewhere...! So its a hazel twig circle with leaves, held together with bramble thorns... and it was hard! It took me an hour, and it was a tatty outcome! show you later....

question... what DO you use for thorns... as i walked this afternoon i found hawthorn which had HUGE thorns, much better than bramble.. what do you use. The wind is a brute too.... it shatters so quickly. Still - i'll keep going...

hey richard - are you still here on ccs?

just wanted to tell you i have today received a luscious copy of your book "Wheel of Life". It is wonderful....

Have not had proper time yet to absorb it and enjoy... but was so excited at this package waiting for me when i got home late tonight...

I am inspired by flicking through the pages - and the wonderful texts you have included in the book makes it very personal and real.. thank you!

I am going to enjoy this... gonna "hunker down" at the weekend, read and get out there and do my own thing...

thank you....

Hey Richard- no problem with the time. This site generally deos drop emails. I found with some discussions I have to be sure that is checked. I got confused for a while because the blue underlined "follow" or s'top following' this discussion seems backwards to me. When it says stop following I am actually following. I am no technological genius,
The closest I ever got to a Goldsworthy sculpture was a Smithsonian Magazine...how awesome to have one close at hand to be inspired by. Yes, I am interested in the book- thank you for the preview link.
I can't remember all I said on your discussion...but I love art and I love the earth...loving land art just seems to be a natural part of that equation

Hi Richard,
I totally love your land art (and your writings) I might add. You really come from your heart and soul with your creative nature. The leaves in your sculptures seem to glow from within. You have a unique creative spirit I am very drawn to. And when sometimes your rock sculptures tumble down I am reminded of the tibetan monks who make the sand sculpture mandalas and then they are washed away to sea. As the others have said before me, I too would love to make comments on your land art. And if you have a chance, please stop by my blog too.I am a writer, photographer, painter and nature lover. I would love your thoughts and you can leave comments! Stay in touch.
Happy Creating! Bev

LOL...What I meant is, where is there a place to put comments on your blog? Or is it there already, and old age is showing my blindness?
Yes, it's my "left-handed DJ compliment" on your writing/art...and I wanna comment ! lol...

Richard-Darling, Why do you not have a comment receptor set up on your blog? Your work is so reflective of nature's beauty that I may have to throttle you for not letting mortals like me comment upon it...
