Just pushed the button to join your Creative Photography. Besides sharing some of my favorite shots, I am hoping that there will be an exchange of tips and ideas, too. For example, I know how to take close-up photographs of the ATCs that are not blurry/fuzzy, like some appear on the ATC Group page. Yet, I want to know how to avoid having window screens distort a photograph taken from my window through the screen (cannot be removed!). I own CS2 (that is Adobe Creative Suite 2) and still consider myself a beginner on PhotoShop. However, I do have a BA in Communications, with a special emphasis on Photography so am not a beginner in taking, developing, printing, framing, or selling photographs. Gave up film cameras a few years ago but still play around with my Canon A-1. I do not believe in re-touching digital photos, without disclosing that they have been "photo-shopped" if I plan to place them into competition/exhibits. Not that many people are that honest or ethical. I much prefer to take pictures for my own pure enjoyment and I am my own worst critic. Now you know more than you ever wanted to know about me!!! Still would like to get some help on the window screen question. Thanks!

Nancy, Thanks so much for your prompts. You have inspired me to get out my film camera and take different photos than I am used to. I live in the same environment most of the time and don't seem to see interesting things to photograph until I get your prompts. How can i see the world differently and lots of things to photograph. I'd love to do more and collage the results. I think what I am saying is i'd like to develop my photography talent.
Thanks from susan
PS Keep up with the prompts. They are great

Hi Nancy,
Good discussion you started over in Creative Photography group called LINES. I immediately saw some, and had to photograph them last night :) Your photo is really interesting with the reflections and concentric circles in the water. I took some puddle pics recently while it was raining with some surprising results! I posted them in the "Torrential Downpour" discussion started by Camille about a month ago, or it could have been one of her blogs. She got some awesome rain photos!

Check out my photo class flickr group-creative photographers of Riverdale. I just started it but I have 20 kids so far. I am offering extra credit! If anyone has any creative photo ideas, books or websites I would appreciate it! I am trying to get into altered book stuff also. :)Thanks for being so kind!

Hey Nancy! Thanks for the friend invite :-)
I am going to repeat what Mary said about florabelles...it is a great place to let your hair down and get the creative juices flowing. Especially when one works with kids and must be the adult all the time- it is refreshing to connect with one's inner child :-)

Nancy, you've joined four really cool groups, but your forgot to join Florabelle's! She's crazy, but we know how to handle her and those crazy ideas she comes up with.

Welcome, and have fun and learn lots. It will be easy.

I admire so much that you work with children and do art with them! That's like the coolest job anyone could have. Thanks for instilling in young people that they are worthy and their thoughts and feelings put on paper are valid.

Hi Nancy,
Welcome to CCSpace!
I am certainly looking forward to getting to know you. Anyone that loves working with kids, art, writing and illustrating children's books ...these are a few of my favorite things! :-)
Maybe we can inspire each other to get those books done! I too hope to have some books published and have 3 children's ones that I am working on - very slowly :-/
Grace and Peace,
malinda
