The twisted trunk of the tree is very interesting! I wonder, does this breed of trees all grow twisted or is this tree unusual? Great photo's.

That's OK, Lin! I've been so busy I've not really been on here much, I've not had a chance to mention it (or indeed my exhibition). Thanks very much! BTW where did you find that image?

Sept 7- So busy, I wasn't sure I'd be able to do a small amount of creating, but then remembered I had a picture from a couple of days ago, so I decided to make something out of it, and try out some subtle techniques that I'd been meaning to try out…

Hey Michael, I am in awe of anyone who is able to create with photoshop! I use it and abuse it - can't get my head round much of it but slowly slowly slowly the veil is lifting! Welcome to CCS see you around D

Michael, Thanks so much for getting back to me. You have given me some great food for thought. I have never considered going back to doing my own developing. I did it at college 30 years ago. I didn't realise there are places I could go to do it.
Thanks again and great to have you sharing on CCS.

Michael, I have just bought my first digital camera but still want to use my film camera. You mentioned double exposures which I will try. What else can you use the film camera for that is better than the digital?

Kewl photos ... were you trying to capture movement or did it just happen? I've taken lots that I didn't intend .. ha ha .. but they do have a different, more artsy look to them. There are a few posted in a discussion in the Photography group. This morning I took some pics of the full moon .. hard to do without a tripod ... so in the end, I just moved the camera on purpose and got some neat shots. Have also done that with lights at a club, and got some very interesting ones.

Hi Michael- welcome to CCS.
I have photoshop but I am only beginning to learn what it can do and learn how to tell it what I want it to do...it is a new language for me :-)
I see you have joined some groups I belong to, so I hope I see you around

30 days of Creating: 03 - Middle Earth in Thornliebank

Today was a bit of a difficult day to get anything done as I was so busy. But I kept my camera with me when i went on my lunch hour, and found this amazing tree near my work. It looked like something out of Middle Earth right in the middle of the pavement, with all the motorists rushing by, apparently not noticing:

30 days of Creating: 02 - Jordan

My friend from Liverpool, Jordan, was up for a long weekend, and after hard days work seeing the city sights he'd not seen the last couple of times he'd been up (Understandable, as one of the times he was flowerboy at my wedding.) we dined at the La Tasca (Spanish tapas) restaurant in Renfield Street. Near the end of the meal, I noticed that when he sat in a certain position, there was an interesting dappled red light coming from somewhere and projecting onto his face in a manner not unlike a Ho… Continue

30 days of Creating: 01 - Marc

I wasn't even aware I had a blog until I decided to tidy up my profile after my time away from CCS, (I'm now on Twitter, BTW) Anyway, I'm grateful to be on the blog section with so many wonderful creative people. So here's my first day of 30 days of creating. It's when I was out with one of my friends, Marc. He was trying on my flat cap for size, I noticed the streetlight from outside catching one side of his face, (they really… Continue
