Hi Barbara.
The Night Queen last 10 to 12 hours only. Open at night around 10 to midnight and dies in the morning. The bud keep for somedays so we have to take a look everynight, and them a surprise. IT´S BLOOM. Wonderful! Like a silk.
Lovely blossom, thanks for showing us your Night Queen in bloom! I recently bought a package of incense with that name. Does this blossom only last for one night or does it close up and re-open?

The carnations are store-bought. My husband and I buy carnations for each other whenever we see a bunch that includes the stripe-edged ones, which are "our"flower! (Since we were dating 40 years ago...)

- There is a lot of forest still in Oregon. Bend is actually situated just at the start of where the forest ends and high desert begins. It's a lot dryer than most people imagine when they think of Oregon.

- Hello Barbara!
I lived in Sweet Home for 3 years. Very nice city,very calm. My husband is american and we had a chance to visit Bend in his motorhome, we stayed at TT parking. I loved the fair with so many crafts and art. Oregon is a very good state to live. it is a forest. Not much snow, and not so cold like the east coast. I hope we can come back there soon. For while we are living in Brazil.

Nice web site. I really like your paintings at the Oregon coast, especially the Sea Lion Caves. I just went there in August with a friend and took some photos, one is similar to the view in your lovely painting.
I live in Bend, Oregon. I have only driven through Sweet Home, but often have thought it would be such a lovely town to live in. Hope you will join in some of our lively conversations here at CCS soon!
