Hi Mandy,
I hope you get a good camera. My only advice is to get one with a rechargeable battery. I have heard that cameras use up disposable batteries in no time.

Hi Mandy,
thanks for your friend request and comment on the spider web photos! They are my favourites of the photos I have taken. Do you do any photography, or plan to? Talk to you later,
Heidi

Thanks for sharing, Mandy! It would make a great artists date to spend a day exploring the amazing creativity on CCS! Enjoy! Love Dabs

Thanks Mandy! When you get used to the CCS community, you will become more and more inspired to create and try all different mediums...most of my projects came out of inspiration on CCS and I have been here maybe a year and a half...my production rate has grown huge since joining this group!!!
I sincerely hope, Mandy that you get a big taste of the Spacer life here and experiment with things you may never have thought of trying...

FUN is a huge source of inspiration at CCS...serious is ok, but FUN and meaningfulness, play and experimentation help us through our blocks!
Keep coming back to play with us and you will be creating in your own authentic way and surprising yourself with all the amazing things that come out of you! Love Dabs

LOL>. AH Mandy, we are more alike than you think! My parent's houses have always have fireplaces, and one of my fondest memories now and growing up is building a fire and watching and stoking the flames. There is something inherently contemplative and peaceful watching them isn't there. There are always such amazing images in the flames and the wood as it burns... even the sound helps to calm.. guess I'm weird ;p lol

Mandy, I think we all have "moods" that we create in. I work primarily in fiber and within that still find that I have to been in a "mood" to do tapestry, or the "mood" to knit.. the only thing that doesnt' require me to have a 'mood' is spinning.. (making yarn, not the exercise..lol)

Thank you Mandy for your comment - I like your page - I like the color blue. Feel free to join groups and to comment and to show your creativity. The writer's clique group has a discussion in which people make up 50 word stories - it is a lot of fun.
The poetry group has a 15 word poem discussion that is a lot of fun as is the Haiku Hangout.
For dealing with the tough stuff, try joining the Taking OUt the Trash group. I also recommend you just jump in anywhere you like.
Hint - check out when the last comment was made - if it was months ago you might not get any feedback.
What is making cards involve ? Do you write poetry still ?

Have fun here - Frank

Mandy, Please do share... its about creativity here. Sometimes revisiting past creativity helps me to connect and create new stuff. I love going through other people's sites too, and even though I've been here longer, I dont have a lot of time to do it either. Take your time, get acclimatized, there's lots of stuff here, and its easy to get overwhelmed. We all have things that get in the way of creating sometimes. For me, its all the stuff of the last several months, being a single parent of 4, working full time, and having physical issues that interfere with actually being able to produce what I want to... as well as the darned inner critic that just wont let go sometimes. For others its bipolar disorder, for others there's depression...
I love colouring books too, although its been a while since I have indulged...lol..I haven't spent the time colouring with my kids the way I used to when they were little.. guess its time :) thanks for reminding me about them. The pic is great, and I love the colours you used.
Enjoy the site and join in when you can. People here are very forgiving if you have to drop away for a while, and you'll always feel welcome when you come back.. I know I have. Creatively xx
