SOLAR ECLIPSE: On Monday, Jan. 26th, the Moon will pass in front of the sun producing an annular "ring of fire" eclipse. This is not a total eclipse; the Moon will cover only 93% of the sun's surface. Nevertheless, the Moon's dead-center transit across the solar disk will produce a sight of rare beauty for observers along the "path of annularity." Best views are to be had from islands in Indonesia where the ring of fire will appear to sink into the ocean at sunset. Meanwhile, in Australia, southeast Asia, southern parts of India and South Africa, observers will experience an off-center partial eclipse. Crescent-shaped sunbeams will dapple the ground while high overhead the Moon takes a curved bite out of the sun.

BLUE-SKY FIREBALL: Last week a meteoroid of unknown size hit Earth's atmosphere over Denmark and exploded with a flash so bright it turned the nighttime sky daytime blue. - Well Yes, now that you mention it ... when I look at the lines in the face now I can see a primitive warrior type ... kewl! I've always considered conflict something to avoid most of my life, due to an extreme aversion for violence from childhood experiences ... but am beginning to learn the ways of being a "peaceful warrior" ... and to choose my battles carefully :)
DIdn't you mention having a sore throat or strep recently? I've heard that can be symptomatic sometimes of holding back, not speaking your truth ... 3rd chakra stuff ... you probably know

- Thanks, Jude ... the lion face was one I colored with colored pencils in a coloring book, then I altered the colors digitally. You dreamed of a similar image? Wow :) I had a very vivid dream in which a very calm (and very LARGE) Bengal tiger was one of the characters, not too long ago ... have you been to the Dreamativity group yet? So much going on here, it's not easy to keep up ... and that's a good thing :)

I posted some photos I took yesterday to Camille's "Torrential Downpour" discussion ... we had quite a few, and during one I ran outside with my camera and took photos of puddles and a few came out very cool! Also check out the Digital journal group, I just posted my first journal page there ...
