If it feels right to rewrite, yes :) One of the life lessons that gets brought home to me again and again, is that being for something (in thoughts and words and actions, saying yes) so often works better than being against something (saying no) ....

I like this, too, Glen. Often, though, we get what we resist the most. Maybe instead of trying to keep "him" out, it's more effective to allow myself to do something else, that does not involve stress in any way, shape or form :)

Glen replied to Joanna's discussion 'Pieces' in the group Thirty Days of Creating
How long does the hope last, and when does believing become easier then hoping, also at what point do we just run and hide, because of the small condiserate things in which we wont abide?

Well Jo, if one page creates such rage, and yet if u know that changing the page will stage less rage, I will just pray for the moment to come where u have the page stage a rage(smile just do what u do best, I have been totally amazed at what u co...

Yes we must all face it, and it will come and go. but we must center ourselves, in times of anguish, so that it's passing will only leave us that much stronger, once it has passed, than we were before it had presented itself..........................

Interesting poem, food for thought. I think that anguish is often a necessary cleansing ... it's sometimes the reaction to "hitting bottom" or realizing how very mistaken we may have been about something, feeling the pain of everything coming to a...

Particularly peculiar

Peculiar word usage promises
The poem on the new balance
For a sentence or a phrase
That leads to a full sentence
Peculiar in that it’s awkward
Therefore particularly peculiar
Fresh terms or words
Revives sound and emotions content
Lines of verse save the present
From emptiness

U got ta be kidding(the Bush(shit) is over

Expect, interruption’s
They come with the here and now
No don’t enter,
I’ am at work
Please come in
But leave hostility
Outside with chaos
Take pride in what you are,
And put value in fearing
Aggression and interruption,
Look at it cara a cara
Meet at your center
Converse with it in full control
From no thing
Comes something
And all lives are watched
Noted and taken in somebody else’s time
Expect to be
Stopped and searched
Held and quizzed
Tagged and exhibited
Demeaned and reduced
To be judged a… Continue

Gifts to each other

When I greet you
on, G.P.,
I cry inside,
to reinforce my spirit
when I see you in distress,
I cry inside
too reinforce my spirit
when you walk by me
with character assassins looks upon your grill,
I cry inside
to reinforce my spirit
when I see, you see,
and we don’t address the situation
I cry inside,
to reinforce, my spirit.
rather than put you in your place
I try to place myself where you are,
so and then,
I can cry
to reinforce my spirit,
crying to reinforce my spirit,
leads me away from my e… Continue

Why open the door, if the guest is unacceptable?

Anguish exists
to make pain bearable,
without it there’s inexhuastable despair,
and aimless travel between opposites
that play to rule the mind and hearts emotions,
no straight road,
just endless turns,
circling an unchanging place and time,
an absolute sameness, that paralyses,
leaving a world bared of actions,
stagnant, standing in a fruitless stasis,
A suffering that dominates hope
and that’s what makes anguish basic,
it is the ultimate horror,
the moment at which the voids
point zero provide… Continue

He's as afraid of u, as u r of him

Face the invader,
Speak your mind,
Look at him, eyes opened tight,
See no evil,
Speak not,
Lust fears that thirst,
Keep the anger in tact,
Search body parts
Strength lives,
Abort anger
Weakness fails, siempre.
To gather, act together,
Into one piece be whole
Do not fall into parts
There’s a trick and its humility
Believe the higher, power exists
Hold faith in right, as wrong
Keep together
face ‘em cara a cara
he who invades
dejame quierto(leave me alone)
yo no say (I dont know)

Glen, good to hear from you. S. C. is experiencing that fall transition of cool mornings & evenings with warmth in between. Throw in a day or two of rain for some awesome showers to lift my spirits so I can paint while stuff is growing outside. I'm a teacher, so I do different kinds of art, but this year have been putting oil paint on my clothing more than usual in studio time. My canvases are mostly abstract, but I'm presently working on a realistic, humorous piece that I'll reveal later.
I need to check out your latest writing posted here @ CCS in your Thirty Days thread.
How have things been for you creatively? Are you a part of a group? Or going solo?
What time of day is your most creatively productive?
Keep writing,
DJ
