Carrie... I too have been wanting to write some poetry but haven't even tried to yet. Maybe one of these days. Hope you will be sharing some of your creativity with us!
We're all here to say YES Carrie. Turn down the volume on the bratty child and tell it you're going to create anyway, whatever it might say...
Wrote some poetry. Didn't think it would feel so hard. It's like my heart wants tp write and my brain is some nasty bratty child saying NO!

I just started the group and heard you are a fellow Illinoisian. Is that a word? I live in Frankfort down south of Orland Park but grew up in Aurora, IL. I love that you are a writer. I write and do art and often dreamed of writing and illustrating a book about my creative journey. Anyway, I'm looking forward to our journey together, may we grow in leaps and bounds.

I have friends in Lombard IL ... they used to live in Villa Park. They're getting married SOMETIME ... he popped the question at last ... and they both expect me to be there, so maybe when that happens, I'll be able to look up some CCS members in the area and meet up!
