Susan, as you know, mail can be fickle, so it is a good idea to scan before you mail so if it gets lost, we have a pic of it to see here! Thanks, I am watching for my package!

Profile Information

What's Your Favourite Way To Create?
I seem to get an idea of something in my head and just let it take me where it will.
Favourite Artists (in ANY creative medium)
Okay, I really don't have a fave artist but I do at times want to try an artist's technique when it captures my attention. I just tried a self portrait in the cubist style.
Greatest Creative Moment You've Had?
OMG I am an OLD artist...there have been many! New materials set me off. I love it when something turns out to be a bit on the "good" side.
What's Your Biggest Creative Dream?
I thought I wanted to become a "selling" artist. Now, after about a year of consideration, I don't. I don't like the pressure. So, I just want to be able to do art and find a way put the pieces I do into some good use.

You can still sign up for this. You will make an 8.5 X 11 in collage about your home town (area) and we will swap it when everyone is ready to mail. It could be fun!

On another note, I dedicated a photo to Dan over in my http://swallowcliffs.blogspot.com/ blog. Come see it if you would like.

You Can Still Join, Yes You Can

In the Collage & All group we are doing a post card swap and you can play too, if you want. Any one can join until October 7th... that's tomorrow! So, if you have been thinking you might, you best do it soon! And interesting aside came up in this post card discussion about tip ins. I had heard of them but did not really get what they were about. After a bit of research, I now know they are a "page added to an existing book" by using different means like gluing, adding in between two other pa… Continue

Just for fun, I started the post card swap. I have already almost finished the card I am collaging. Soon, I will be scanning it so I can post it everywhere I visit!

I finished up the ABC ATC cards D is for Drawing, and have the envelopes ready too.
I started a wood batik today.
I did a drawing in my "sketch every day" sketchbook.
I am generally just reading for pleasure, rather than self improvem… Continue

Fall Creativity

I signed up for the September 30 Days of Creativity group, and thanks to Dan, I am doing something all most every day. I think I missed one day, due to a change of venue here, we went camping and I just missed a day. ??? I try to pop in and read and reply to some of the people who are taking the big step of committing to doing something creative everyday... But, to the whole grooup... keep up the great creative spirit!
But, I have had lots of creative things going on, really. My second alphabet… Continue

Hi Carol,
Yes, the counted cross stitch fan is mine. I am working on another that is somewhat like it now. It is actually only 3" x 3" though. It takes me several hours to do it but I enjoy it. I don't know that I need more projects right now. I have quite a few to work on but thanks anyways.

Your work is wonderful. I think hanging out with artists will do my business brain some good. Open to any and all leads and ideas. Ingenuity in process!

hi Carol, something that makes me sigh: we live near a lake. Some people never make it to the far side, the side by the road is always the busiest part. The rubbish bins overflow & dogs pooh & it's not always cleaned up. Why can't people take responsibility & clean up after themselves & their pets? At work people take the tinfoil tops of milk bottles & just leave them on the sink unit. I might collect them all up & make a collage about it: do you think they would even then face the fact that it was them that left them there?

Hi Carol. I just visited your blog and was amazed to find that we have Lani Garity in common. Also, I think I recently featured one of your doodles (which If found on Flickr?) on my Doodle Art Squidoo lens. I love it when all of these threads weave together.
