What's Your Favourite Way To Create?
Sit at my computer desk and write. I'm writing a YA novel about a teen who gets stuck riding with her Mom who drives an 18 wheeler, which happens to be what I do when I'm not creating stuff! I also like to prowl about with my camera and find great pictures .
Favourite Artists (in ANY creative medium)
C.S. Lewis, Gerard Manley Hopkins, e e cummings, Rodin, Monet, Matisse, Vivaldi, Gershwin, Rogers and Hammerstein, Beethoven, PDQ Bach, more....
Greatest Creative Moment You've Had?
My short story was just published in an anthology from which students can do oral interpretations.
What's Your Biggest Creative Dream?
To be a published author of a book that makes a difference and to learn to do portraits.

I wanted to create a group where members could find some respite from the holidays - they can be challenging for some. So let's share some poetry, stories, quotes, or pictures. Please add whatever discussion group you want. It's time to relax...

Welcome :) I started this group to post and give/receive feedback on specific projects. For myself, I'd prefer to do it here, rather than in my blog. Whatever your reason...hope you will join me! Start *your own discussion* to contain your work/s

That is so kind of you. I do not give lessons, am an art student struggling through my own paintings. But I would be glad to help you in any way I can. Have you done many oil paintings? I have not had much time to check out the ccs...we did some yard work, plus art work keeps me fairly busy. Have a great day. If I can help you I would be glad to. J

Hello, Becca! Thanks a ton for the warm welcome; much appreciated!
I spent a brief few months in Huntsville, m'self. Closet mallrat than I am, I saw a great deal of Madison Square Mall, but I really enjoyed how easy it was to find some time to yourself, as well, in such a peaceful city. Lots of beautiful, rural areas out there!
Thanks again for the welcome. I'm already loving the friendly atmosphere!

Cheers Becca - and for the lovely little angel - you are very kind and thoughtful. I am getting better slowly, and have had to learn over the last 3 weeks to keep going slow having felt better then done too much! I hate being slow but sometimes I have to take heed. So have a wonderful year yourself and look forward to nattering some more later x Detta

Hello Becca ~it did indeed arrive and I was delighted ~ thank you so very much and for the little extras! I have been absolutely floored by a bad case of flu which has recurred 3 times over for the past 3 weeks ~ every time I think I am better and get going again I am knocked over by it ~ this is happening to lots of people over here in the UK but a complete shock for me as I have never been prone to colds or flu in the past ~ so apologies for delay in replying but am only just getting back on the computer again. Thank you so much once again and will be in touch before too long x have a super new year x D

It was so great seeing you all again. I'm so glad it was a wonderful Christmas for you all as it was for all of us here too. As always, you guys are always welcome. I'm touched that it was one of the best for Uncle Mack. That means so much to me, and I know it will for mom as well. I love you all so much. Take care.
Love,
Amber

Hi Becca,
Thank you for the nice comments on my Winter Sky photo.
What I liked about yours was not only the sunset, but the trucks. I brought back fond memories of our cross country trip. We decided in the beginning that we would not stop at any fast food places. So when dinner time rolled around we followed the trucks. We figured that if anyone knew the good places to eat they would. They never steered us wrong. So, thank you and your truck driving friends.
Didn't know I was following you, huh? :~)
