I figured it out i think.. How do you avoid your critic? I've found that I can avoid the critic and the overwhelming, when I fold the paper in 4 and only use a 1/4 of a page. I set out to write, at any given point in time, randomly, just that "page".... its far less overwhelming for me than that huge white, lined page, and sometimes I end up with 1/2 of the quarter page filled, sometimes 2 or 3 of them with some continuity. I don't let it bother me. When I have a stack of 8X11 sheets filled in by the quarters, I read them again as i cut the quarters apart and put them into specifically labeled envelopes. Because I don't censor what I'm writing about, there are about 4-5 concurrent themes that are being written about, so that way they can be organized when the envelopes getting filled with at least 20 of these little squares of writing.
I know I can do the editing from there, and make a more cohesive story or series of stories eventually, and in the mean time, I'm not being blocked in the writing..
