Welcome to Thirty Days of Creating

Thirty Days Of Creating - October 2009

September's Thirty Days of Creating project saw a flood of creativity from CCS members, with the total number of page views in the group here topping 9000!

So, we're continuing the fabulous Thirty Days Of Creating project throughout October...

What's it all about? Read on to find out...

How Do I Participate?:

1. Every day, you simply create in your form: art, writing, acting, dance, music, composing, etc.
2. It can be a simple baby step! (some idea sketches, one sentence written, one maquette of a sculpture, two measures of music composed, another eight beat of choreography... anything!)
3. You set your own work schedule or time on task...five to fifteen minutes, one hour, etc.
4. Do this for thirty days. ( At the end of thirty days, a habit or routine will have been formed. ) If you miss a day, or join us late, no big deal. Just start where you are.

~~~If you need inspiration...
There are some prompts listed here:
Possible Prompts
Pick one or none! Your choice, no order.
Interpret them for you. They may lead you to something else. Or, just get you thinking!
Whatever they mean to you…
NOTE: YOU DON’T HAVE TO USE THESE.
So head over to this discussion to let us know you're in!
The NEXT Thirty Days of Creating - October 2009
Once you're in, start your own discussion to post your creative exploits:
The best way we've found in the past to share our work is to each start a new discussion in this group.
So if you scroll down past the discussions listed below, you'll see the + start discussion link.
Click that and call your discussion something like "Dan's thirty days of creating" in the Title box.
Add a few words of description in the main box, eg "This is where I'll share my thirty days of creating", and click the Add Discussion button at the bottom right.
Visit your discussion each day and leave a reply to let us know what you've been creating...
Welcome and thanks for being a part of it!
I would like to say to all of you that I admire very much what you do, but it's very long for me to read in english ( and i dont' understand everything ), writing takes me much time... sometimes i'm angry because I can't express myself in english and say what I'd like to say to each of you...But I 'd like to say thank you very much Dan to give us the chance of this personal challenge, be creative everyday, it 's difficult, i feel...I can't manage to do something every day but I think about what I could do every day ...
Hello! I have just joined CoachCreativeSpace and just signed up for Thirty Days of Creating thanks to my friend Carole who made me aware of this network. Very timely as I am participating in a local studio tour which takes place the 26th and 27th of September and I need to make a lot of work in the next 30 days. Actually, I do well with a deadline. It's when I don't have a deadline that procrastination rears its ugly head. I have a very long and dysfunctional relationship with procrastination. So belonging to this group is going to be very helpful and very inspirational. Nice to be here.
Day one seems to be directed towards a set design which I must, must, must conquer!!!!
I have been musing over it for several months now but time is closing in and it must be resolved. Send me your best vibes on this one.I will share the results when it is solved.
I will also work on something less demanding to augment and assuage my possible frustrations with the set design. By the way the show is Tom Sawyer which has a multitude of locations to incorporate and the show appears to be written for the screen and not the stage. (3 separate locations in the first "scene" alone. Wish me luck and Thanks in advance.
It's February and I look back and see how I have been creating. I have managed to write some poems and send them off to magazines and contests, but perhaps not as active as I was last year this time. The fruit of last year is that I have had poems accepted for publication, and have seen them published, and I have won 2 contests, 2nd and 3rd places. I have felt somehow less creative this year so far but I have written a few poems. I worry that they aren't good enough! I have also done some drawing, maybe every three days or so, but I would like to do a little every day...so this is my desire to do that, and we will see how I do!!!
Hi All,
I have not been here for a while! How is everyone? I am going to get back to my mandalas (30 days!) in watercolor painting my wild dreams!
Also, I am having a contest and would love your photos! Here is the link: http://organicsyes.wordpress.com/2009/02/11/contest-get-outside-and-create/
