Inspired by the amount of creativity that's set CCS alight throughout September (pages in the Thirty Days group have already been viewed over 9000 times during September!) and people telling me how much it's helped them be more creative and more aware of how creative they already are, I've decided to continue for another thirty days in October.

Wendy's comment summed it up most succinctly when she said: "This challenge has worked wonders for me. I've never done something like this and now I wish the challenge would go on forever..."

So here we are, with the next thirty days.

Whether you want to continue with all the great work you've done in the September project, or you're starting anew here, just leave your reply below and let us know you're on board.

For most of us, we don't have to anything differently, just carry on with the creative flow we've experienced throughout September. : )

As before, start a new discussion to keep track of your creative adventures throughout October. Here's how to do that:

Go to the main group page: http://coachcreativespace.ning.com/group/thirtydaysofcreating

Scroll down past the discussions listed there, and you'll see the "+ start discussion" link.

Click that and call your discussion something like "Dan's thirty days of creating" in the Title box.

Add a few words of description in the main box, eg "This is where I'll share my thirty days of creating", and click the Add Discussion button at the bottom right.

Visit your discussion each day and leave a reply to let us know what you've been creating...

Can't wait for you to join us for the next Thirty Days of Creating!

Love it, let's keep it flowing... It was your "go on forever" comment that inspired me so much Wen... : )

Hi Dan,
Well, I'm definately "in".. the first 30 days, while I haven't been writing about my progress, have been instumental in keeping me moving forward, because it is a constant reminder that I need to create to keep myself content.
There have been writings, and dyeings, and spinning and all kinds of things going on with organizing my small loom to do a tapestry. The next 30 should keep things going well. Thanks for encouraging us, and giving us such an amazing forum to share in.

I feel determined this next 30 days will be more meaningful for me than the last were. I often forgot to do my simple 15 minutes and I will do this month. I was distracted by a lot of visitors in my house, vacations and my daughter has moved back home for awhile and she doesn't quite get the hang of my personal work routine yet. She likes to talk and have company doing this with her. I will have to set better boundaries.

Sounds really promising Leah. I realised a few years ago that fifteen minutes is actually only just over 1% of your day. In a 24 hour day, there are 96 fifteen minutes blocks. 96! Yes we need to eat and sleep and work and so on, but I think any of us here for whom creating is this important can dedicate at least one of these 96 blocks of fifteen minutes to creating.

I look forward to hearing more from you as we go through October...

Hi Dan,
It has helped me too. I really came to the conclusion that my art of choice is embroidery. I finished my counted cross stitch project that I worked on most of Sept and will get that on the computer in the next day or two. Now I am working on a stamped cross stitch project that I already had. I want to get that done by Christmas for a present. Then there are others. I also found out the meeting place and day for a local embroidery guild and plan to start attending meetings. Before I spent so much time trying to decide what to do that I lost so many hours but your challenge caused me to make a decision and stick to it and it has yielded results. There are so many choices out there that that alone can keep one confused but embroidery is my passion. I sent for a book also called "The Cross Stitching Bible" that has loads of information in it about the craft of counted cross stitch and the day it came I could not sleep all night thinking about it so I really think I have discovered my passion. Some days I only do a few minutes of stitching but many days I found 2-3 hours in which to do my stitching. (I like it too that I can do it sitting down and use the TV for background noise.) Thank you so much for doing this.

Oh this is all music to my ears Lucinda... Brilliant that you've found that though you create in different ways, one has come through as a true passion. And I love hearing how you've created every day, even if just for a few minutes, but sometimes this has stretched into 2-3 hours.

Look forward to seeing your creativity continue to flow throughout the rest of September and October...

Since I'm home now, I think I'm gonna try this out!

Hi all,

I will commit to creating every day but the exercise has given me a few ideas I'd like to "mull on" & get on with so I won't post unless i think it will be of particular interest or use; but I'll check in now & then to enjoy & cheer on some of the posts! It's been of real use to me, one think that has surfaced is that I'd like to start some "projects" rather than one offs....thinks to do over a span of time....not in my usual hurry. And I want to work on my time management and other issues....
