STARTING ANEW IN NOVEMBER...

Hi there everyone - it's been quite a hiatus since I was here last-life has had its ups and downs, but I won't go into that here!

I have decided it is time to rediscover my creative self, let the kid out again-it's been a long drought, and I feel ill equipped for the journey right now, but as they say "The longest journey begins with the first step"-I am beginning to realize how I have let pain overcome my creative urges, but Spring is here, flowers are blooming everywhere, there is the fresh sweet smell of jasmine and honeysuckle, mingled with the wonderful essence of roses and lavender-my senses are satiated and delighted-I love the Spring!

This is my month for photography-walking, stopping to smell the roses and being enchanted by the changing faces of nature, the color of the seasons-the promise of a fresh life...

Here are a few playful snaps of my garden at the moment-more to follow when I get computer problems sorted out! Now that is aNOTHER STORY! lol

Been thinking of you all, and missing your company and wonderful feedback-yep Jules is alive again- watch out! hehe

Thanks for the welcome back Dan-I really have missed all the friends I have made in here, and hope I can touch base with a few dear souls, who have always helped to encourage and uplift me.
The good news is I now have photoshop back on my computer, being my new laptop-it's been so frustrating not to have my photography tools-yep, I can just feel that kid about to break bounds hehe

DJ, so great to see you again-I haven't had time to catch up with what you have all been doing, but working on it!
John is going back into rehab at end of the month-it's taken some encouraging, but now he is taking responsibility for his drinking-I am so relieved-there have been pretty stressful times, but I hope we are nearly over the hill!
Now, what else can I find in my garden to share...

Hi there Angie-thanks so much-it's lovely of you to remember me-it's been a long absence!

I'm recording and photographing my late dad's paintings-I might post a couple of his works in here-they are beginning to sell quite well-slowly, slowly, we are making progress :-)

I want to get in and finish the mosaic mirrors I started last summer-now the weather is better I can go for it again! Yep, this is gonna be a great month!

Here are a couple of playful shots using the lily-I love these now, but years ago I always thought of them as the 'death lily'! They always appeared with unrelenting regularity at funerals!
The first one is unadulterated-the next 2 just for a change of mood.

I love to look at the microcosm-I just adore Georgia O'Keefes works-woo, now if I could only paint like that I would spend the rest of my life doing it!

The good news is, I'm gonna try!
