Mary's Visual Thanks for November

I need to take more pictures! I need to not feel self-conscious about stopping along the way and taking a picture!

During November, I'm going to share pictures of things that make my heart swell with thanks. I'm not promising a picture every day, but I promise to share what I can, when I can. November is a great time to be mindful of the good stuff of life.

Happy November! I'll start off with a picture of the two most important people in my life. Thank you, God, for Warren and Jonathan!

U know what Hannah, if u ask yourself , what is the hardest part of just stopping to take a photo,
anytime of anyone or anywhere, most of the time the answer would either be, I wonder what people will think , seeing me stop to take a photo of a bluebird singing, or just a photo of a couple sitting under some leafy glades,
I would like to make a small friendky suggestion, here goes...............

if u see a tree
that resembles u or me
should u see a dog or a cat
any pet , for that .
just u cliick away,
and let the day be your day for photo taking, that takes others away
causing them to say
Hannah snyder does it again, hurray..............(smile)

Yesterday was election day. The polls were open until 8 p.m. so it was a long day of waiting and anticipation for many, many people. I listened to the radio until almost 11 p.m. I love election results!

Now, Worcester has a new mayor and some new blood on the City Council - just what we needed! The School Board got some newbies, but kept enough oldies that the new Superintendent will have an easy transition.

Last night we went to a Subdudes concert in Fall River, MA. It was so much fun! One of the members of the band is a guy that I basically grew up with. It was awesome to see him again! The Subdudes' music is so much fun.

The photo looks like you had a lot of fun. And it was a bit of a reunion, to boot.
Are they anywhere on the net, like a youtube vid or something similar? I'd love to hear what they sound like...

Here's a YouTube video of them singing one of my favorites, "Morning Glory." It's not the greatest video, but it's more the sound that they're putting out lately (i.e. less drums, more percussion, less keyboard and more accordian).

One of the comments says they've been around for 20 years...Good grief! Where have I been????
They have a sound that is unique and raw and enjoyable. I listened to several vids and typed out my lesson plans for the week in record time. :-)
