Joining the second round

Hi everyone!
I thought I would give this a try again. Since I'm home for probably two more months, I think I can manage some kind of art! I got to paint last night (really late! Around 11p) . I wasn't trying to do anything fancy, just playing with the paint and brushes. I did this ambidextrously. Almost all of it was left handed, except the petals of the large flower. BTW, I'm right hand dominant. I know you guys know! lol...

I got to do some late night creating last night and did a collage. Since I finished a little past midnight, I'm counting this as my second day. ; ) Seems like late night will be my creative time for awhile!

It's a wonderful cool morning here in Cali. Son woke me up for a ride to school (lazy kid ; ) ) and my home is nice and quiet.

I painted one more piece of canvas paper. Sorry about the poor quality of the shot, but I took it kinda late afternoon. Not sure if I will do anything more to this, but if I do, I'll post.

I love cheating by using only half a face... lol I'm trying to get back into the flow of painting faces.

O! And shock of all shocks! Hubby said, "hmmm, nice picture. You did that?" I almost fainted! Just the fact that he looked made me think the end of the world was near... LOL! Kiddin'...

I love it! The colors are wonderful, and your face is fantastic. Who cares if it's only half there? That's what makes the painting so interesting...makes you wonder what the other half of her face is doing!!

Good for hubby to take notice! Did lightning strike at the same time? lol

I think it's a more interesting painting as a half face, because it makes the background have some significance too, it's not just a straightforward portrait, gives the painting more depth visually and emotionally. That's my thoughts anyway!
