Hi everyone!
I thought I would give this a try again. Since I'm home for probably two more months, I think I can manage some kind of art! I got to paint last night (really late! Around 11p) . I wasn't trying to do anything fancy, just playing with the paint and brushes. I did this ambidextrously. Almost all of it was left handed, except the petals of the large flower. BTW, I'm right hand dominant. I know you guys know! lol...

I went to the surgeon today and the office will let me know the real date, but it's tentative third week in November. They have to make sure the insurance gives the okay and the doc is available. I am so relieved that it's finally going to happen!
I will be having two discs replaced- between 5 and 6, and 6 and 7, then a plate will be placed over them for stability. Sounds kinda scary when I type this. lol
the doc said if I have any pain in my neck (not counting hubby and the kids... lol!) this surgery will not help it. But, it will help the numbing, tingling and burning of my arm. I think I can totally live with that!

hi lotus, glad you have had some news at last and wont have to wait too long. it does sound kinda scary but the end result will be a relief for you.

How adorable your witch doll is. I'd love to know more about how you made her. I mean do you have a pattern? I can do rag dolls- all one dimension, but how do you get the head etc? She's got character and charm. Wow!! So creative you are.

If you would like her pattern, I'll gladly scan it for you!. I design almost all my dolls. YOu'll have to make up your own clothes though, cuz I just cut, pieced and tacked everything down. lol! Did you see all three versions? They are all the same pattern.

Hi CCS'er's!
I've been working on my art journal these past few days. Work is slow, but I'm enjoying the process. Mostly doing backgrounds until I can do the actual journaling. ; )

I just felt like being messy for this page. No rhyme or reason.

This page has a lot going on. An image from Nat Geo, scrap book papers, oriental text, fabric selvage, watercolor crayons, colored pencil.

Update on me. I'm in more pain now after the shot than I was before the shot. My neck is funky and I'm afraid to turn it. I now have bursts of pain in my elbow and forearm. I saw my doc today and she changed up some of my meds and I also scheduled an appt. with my surgeon. Surgery for sure...just need to know when. I am very relieved... ; )

These are fantastic! I especially love, love, LOVE the third one! You are able to make areas look like they ***glow*** They each show such different aspects of your) personality. Love them...and...hope you are able to get some pain relief. Hugs.
