I need some time designated for art amidst the many responsibilities crowding my life right now.
Since I'm online responding to others, I might as well post my creative stuff, too!
Whee.

~ tried to put the need to create into words
11-2 ~wrote & posted poem below
11-3 ~ began new oil painting entitled "Electricity"
11-4 ~ began private art consultation sessions with a promising new student !
11-5 ~ altered the oil painting "Electricity"
11-6 ~ after a creative day at school, took Friday night off to eat steak w. hubby
11-7 ~ opened a NEW JOURNAL and drew FIVE spreads in ink for future watercoloring while listening to the Eagles .... whee.

LOVE the intensity of feeling throughout...made my heart pound! You've really let us inside your creative process here and I love it!!

Thanks, Wendy. The drive to create is difficult for me to put into words, so perhaps a parallel passion is the closest experience to describe it.

Well there's nothing like doing what u really feel good about, so if u ask me, I would keep responding and creating, in whatever order they mauy fall daily, I will be following and responding , so keep it coming and going
Glen

ps we all need to be given a heads up, on our gifts to creations own............................................
pss I really like the piece, and it's true, caring about what they think, only stops u from finding and sharing your true hopes and needs, that come wrapped within your beautiful mind and soul.......................

Glen, my sincere gratitude for the thoughtful encouragement...
Two statements stand out for me in your response:
"...I would keep responding and creating, in whatever order they mauy fall daily..."
and
"...it's true, caring about what they think, only stops u from finding and sharing your true hopes and needs..."

What are you doing for your creative heart these days?

DJ, I hope the seeds of anticipation you've planted grow into a big fruitful tree of November creativity...

Thanks, Ang!
I'd better focus on watering & feeding that tree well in order for that to happpen...thank you for the encouragement.

Yes, I know! I need to post pics!

Explanations:
1) Everything is a WIP right now. :-)
2) Daylight Savings Time is over, so if I have to work late, it's dark when I arrive home, which hinders the desired natural lighting of paintings. (Not to mention the energy level of this old lady!)
3) OK, I'll do it, already... ! ...One day...

We lose one hour of daylight from now until midwinter when it goes the other way...I have tried the ott lights- they are very good (not as good as the natural light of the sun- but amazing for a light.

Back there on the 7th...which Eagles album CD was it?

I think it was a "recent" live performance. DH had the computer, so I'm not sure about the recording version. I think this performance was televised a couple years ago, also. But it was some of their classics. Hotel California, Life's Been Good, Take It to the Limit... good stuff...
(Glad to see you, Jules. You've been missed!)
Tell me about the ott lights?

Thanks DJ...The work is here now- so I have to get at it while it is...and I have been escaping to the woods a few times before it is stay inside weather.
One day I had no work until late afternoon and the sun was out- it was warm, so I decided to run away to the woods...as I was driving I reviewed in my head all that I needed to do and told myself that I shouldn't be off wasting time- why was I doing this...just as I asked myself that question I drove past a little country church and the marquee it was written "This day is God's gift to you"
SO I told myself "There's your sign..." who am I to argue with that?

The Ott lite have some type of spectrum technology they have a non glare light which allows for true color, unlike florescent of standard bulbs. They are a little pricey so I did not get one for a long time. That is one expense that was worth every cent - without it I could not easily paint my tiny surfaces in the winter darkness. They sell them online, in art stores, fabric stores (quilters love the true color aspect as well). I have noticed that folks are using them with computer work as well- they like the non glare aspect

Gotta love it when the sign is written out in black n white for ya!!!! :-)
I hope your day in nature was absolutely mahvelous, dahling...any intriguing finds or perhaps some much-needed solitude?
Thanks for the info on the Ott light...I'll check them out online and maybe talk Santa into a little sump'm sump'm for Christmas...

Yeah DJ...it made me laugh. Good thing I was in the country- folks would have thought I was crazy- the cows don't really care or notice such things.

It was interesting- as I was entering the path two guys were removing leaves from the picnic area- loud tractor and leaf blower. As I turned my back on them and entered the woods the quiet got louder ahead of me as the machinery noises grew dimmer behind me until they were no more. This is how I feel every time I enter the solitude of the woods- I just never had it illustrated so clearly before :-) I took tons of pictures, naturally
