Here's where I'll post my creativity for October. I'd like to do something themed for the whole thirty days, maybe some photos, or poems or both, rather than just update my general creating each day. I'll be back soon with some ideas...

I've chosen a theme for my October thirty: Curve.

Day 24 - October 24th

I have a few ideas I've been playing around with today. Phrases come to me sometimes and I write them down, sometimes they become a line of poem, sometimes a theme for a piece of writing, sometimes they evolve into a different art form. A couple of days ago, this phrase "draw it out" appeared and I wrote it down. To me it means drawing out from within you your true self, or your true talents or creativity. But I also think of it more literally, using drawing to work through stuff, if you have something you need direction or clarity in, draw it out. Just draw and see what appears. I may do more with this, it's one of those ideas that needs to smoulder away on a low heat for a while.

Anyways, I decided to try some drawing today, not my first creative form by anyways. I just want to experiment with some curves on the page, tying in with my theme for this Thirty Days of Creating. I just like the sound and feel of pencil on paper too. I took a picture part way through, and then later. Not sure this is a finished piece.

I started portrait, but in the end it looks better in landscape, like the second picture.

Hmmm...try rotating it once more...it has an illustrative quality to it, then..

I like how the central spirals now seem more open and upward, uplifting...

I hesitate to do this to you, but here goes..
It also has a big G in the center of it. :-)

What I also got from this, was a new shape that I may develop into a logo. You might see a little heart if you look closely, repeated a few times in the drawing above. I took this out and drew it larger in red. Definitely something I like and would like to create as a logo for something. Here's a hand drawn "prototype":

(I also love the sound of a fat felt tip pen on paper!)

Day 25 - October 25th

Wrote a six worder:

Maps and stories, leading us home...

And a haiku about some new shoes!

soft supple uppers,
endless liquorice laces
and that new shoes scent.

Experimented with some light photos, here are the best couple. They're not digitally altered in any way.

The first could be titled...... "Cubist Sunset".
:-)
Nice contrast and rays are really cool, too.

Really quiet day. Wrote a few things here and there. Wrote this six words:

These letters fall, this hope remains...
