Actually no Fiona. I just happened to find this large 12X14 inch book for a $. The paper is really heavy and a nice creamy color. I use it for notes, sketches, wish list for art supplies, media tests and such. I really like this note book and would buy another one, when and if I get through this one. It is published for math and science type activities, I think.
Thanks for you comments. I know I need to sketch every day to get good, but I don't. I was sketching last fall quite a bit, and used to try to do one a day in my younger years. I did a whole series of trees one time.. the sumac page was a result of that. I am not sure where all my drawings ended up. Just a few I find here and there.

I need to get going with some sort of scheduled time. Maybe the AD would work!

Oh, sorry, it is Artist's Date from the VOG book. Like today, for my artist's date I watched the Twilight video. I highly recommend the books and the video and I am shocked that I am! lol

It is an odd book but I liked it and the video.
Way to go, Carol, I'm glad to see you sketching (and you have cute subject matter :)

Someone mentioned somewhere, it would be good to draw or doodle while watching TV. So, I tried it. No plan really, just playing with a minimum pencil drawing then embellishing with colored pencils.

Thanks Fiona.
PS, I thought of you today as I was yard sale ing. A person had a lovely white ceramic geisha figurine, and a thai looking "whatcha ma call it". They were lovely, and I thought of doing a shrine like you do, but, talked myself out of it. Mostly because of the "dusting" requirements. lol
