Wow, I am really behind! It's hard for me to believe I haven't done any work on VOG since January? That can't be right. Another thing I was confused about is I hadn't come to the end of the section, just that chapter. I'm up to Words Do It now, did my creative monster exercise. Oh I guess I did my Timeline also -- did I check with that? It wasn't illuminating. I've done it before. Anyway, so that Creative Monster exercise is great! I'll bet it's everyone's favorite. It was actually a bit hard for me since I can't quite relate to the idea of my blocks being caused by actual people. It was more circumstances. Also it was more as an adult. I realized I already slayed my petty little childhood monsters as a child. Hehee. It was fun even then. It was easy back then. I was a kid. And my mom loved showing me off. It's quite hard for me to understand how all the good ended up at the hands of the evil seeds that were only seeds back then, but grew up to be wild weeds which choked everything valuable. So I worked with the seeds. I want to work with the weeds though. I'm going to keep at this exercise. It's fun and powerful.

Sounds good, Hannah. Yes, it is powerful! And by giving form to it, makes it fun. I wrote a story but haven't created a monster doll, really. Just sort of assigned that role to the Inner Critic skeletal ghost doll that grabbed me at The Dollar Store last year, when we were discussing the Inner Critic around Halloween time.

I like your idea about "evil" seeds that were allowed to grow into choking weeds. Weeding is as important a part of a beautiful garden as planting and nurturing is ...

I know, I'm participating in an old discussion. It's useful though. I realize from what I wrote that as a kid, I had ways of handling my monsters, but I never developed any as an adult. But I can go back! Make dolls. Put it all outside me. I gotta think of more ways.
