Oh! chocolate DOES have a lot of magnesium in it. Honestly I didn't know a THING about magnesium. I wonder if I take a supplement if it will help with the fatigue I get from the RA.. hmmm....I take very high doses of Vitamin D...and that can interefere with the magnesium in my system. I think I need to do some more research
and you are right MARY
I need to increase my VitD daily dose for the FM pain and the fatigue

let me know what you find about VitD and Mag -- I need to keep the system in balance
with both prayer and the proper nutrient suppliments

..smiling..Fiona..you are such a sweet guru. Yes YOU...(just seeing you looking behind you thinking..who me?)...yup YOU...guru..You...a teacher and guide in spiritual and philosophoical matters. Of course we are all guru's who are on a path and share the knowledge and wisdom of that path with others. It's all a wonderful journey isn't it? I'm very happy today. A man with a mask and a gun hooked to a canister of vile poison sprayed under the stairs where my little dragons live. I was quite distressed all last night. Today my little dragons were out patiently waiting for dinner in the mid morning sun. It was joy. yes..Joy..that they were there and they were fine. All is well in my world...my little dragon lives! I did have a word with him. He likes to hop up the stairs and get up nice and high. I warned him that he was making it easy for the crows, hawks and other predators to fly off with him but he just bobbed his head at me, raised his tail and basically told me to mind my business! Such is the way with little dragons.

Just came across this post (so glad your dragons are safe, Mary!) and it brought to mind the conversation I had with the lady who did the pet sitting for us. I cleaned house for her today and we were swapping stories about our experiences with the animal kingdom ... she had enjoyed feeding our parakeet, Ozzie, and related that she'd had a parakeet she dearly loved and had kept its wings clipped, and often took it outside and played with it in the grass. One day she perceived a shadow and suddenly her parakeet was scooped up in the talons of a hawk! She thought he was gone forever! But later that evening, she heard him chirping outside the door ... he'd come back, unharmed! She said he had a very pointy little beak, and she thought that he had pecked so fiercely at the hawk's legs that it had to let go of him :) What a great story.

wowwwww...Oh goodness...I simply can't imagine how her heart felt as her sweet pet was swooped away...and the JOY when he returned. What a horrible horrible experience for her in the moment she realized what was happening. I'm afraid to take my guinea piggie outside because we have hawks and crows and I think they'd like to eat my piggie.

That truly is a great story!

that reminds me of the budgie that we adopted while still in Medford OR... a friend was loading her van for final house closing & their move to WA when a blue & white budgie flew down & hid under her husband's shirt collar - he'd lost most all of his tail & flight feathers to Jays & hawks - she gave him to us because she'd met our critters & knew that we'd keep him safe -- Budgie was with us almost 5 years safe in a large 'keet cage by the door & behind my hubbie's shoulder next to the window full of plants & when he passed well, we cried... & we still have some of his feathers & his ashes live on my Memorial shelf in my alter...

What a sweet way to remember your feathered friend, Debb. My first keet I bought at an Earth Day festival! He looked like the sky, all blue and white ... I spent a lot of time with him and he spoke to me many times when I was in a sad frame of mind. He used to light on the spoon when I was eating Cheerios and sip the milk from my bowl. When I came to Oregon the first time, I gifted him to a friend who had two children, and he died within a week. Methinks he was heartbroken.

Barbara, I love the story about the parakeet.

I'm with Mo, Fio, your practices give light to our own paths when you so generously post them. Thank you.

Tonight I went to a Chakra Balancing MeetUp at a New Age bookstore 3 blocks from my house. They smudged everyone as they came in. We chanted the mantras for each chakra with the hand positions and it just felt good, you know? Then the group leaders played a crystal bowl and a Tibetan bowl along with various bells, chimes, gongs, drums, and rainsticks for a half-hour meditation. I was wishing I had brought a pillow and a blankie so I could lay down and relax for it. Instead I sat in a chair in the back, well away from the candles and incense with my oxygen- flammable- and my sensitive breathing. I worried the whole time about the noise my O2 made disturbing everyone. I think I will go back again and see what else they have to teach. It was lovely to see the flickering candles around the altar. Nice people!

Sounds like a real spiritual treat Lin.
I'm sorry, I didn't know about your oxygen reliance, does that mean you have emphysema ,asthma?Don't answer if it's too personal ,but I commend you for being such a creative lady despite it! I can understand the problems it could give you-keep well dear friend hugs
