About First Steps...

Often the hardest part of creating is getting started... So here's a little help...
First Steps is a group project to help you get back to creating in a way you haven't done in a while, maybe for longer than you want to remember.
The group is about sharing your first steps in a new project with the rest of us, so we can encourage, support and cheer you on as you continue to create.
First Steps is NOT about complex ambitious projects and completed perfect end products.
First Steps IS about choosing a small manageable project to start, and taking the initial steps in creating.
How will First Steps work?
Step 1: Join the group. Click on the "+ Join firststeps" link at the top right of this page.
Step 2: Choose a creative project to begin. Something manageable that you can create in 15 - 60 minutes. Maybe some photography, or a short poem, or an Artist Trading Card.
Step 3: Tell us in the group about your project. Just this act will inspire and motivate you to start. It makes it a real, tangible project rather than just an idea floating around in your head. The easiest way to tell us to scroll down to the end of the Discussion Forum below and click on "+Start Discussion". Then tell us about your project. You can then return to this discussion and leave replies to tell us about your first steps, second steps, third steps and beyond...
That's all you need to get started. So go ahead, join the group, choose a project, start your discussion to tell us about it.
