Do you ever have dreams that are are a way of rehearsing something that's coming up in waking life, or maybe trying out different scenarios to see how you feel about the different options?

I've had quite a few of these in a romantic scenario. For example in a dream I'll know I'm in an exclusive and loyal relationship with one partner and be in a situation of great temptation with another person, usually this other person in the dream is making very strong advances that are hard to deny.

In the dream there's no consequence of following the temptation to see how I feel. But when I do, I always feel bad and disloyal, and realise it's not worth it!

It's like a safe way of having a conscience or morality check without hurting anyone.

Anyone had dreams like this?

Never had a dream like that myself...but the reverse...my lover persuing other women...but then he learns from the experience that it is me who he loves!

I am thinking that maybe your dream is about various aspects of yourself...when you think of straying from who you really are, you may realize there would be consequences to pay for not being true to yourself...just my take...we are all our own dreamologists!

I think however sure we are about our own morality we still might wish to experiment or step outside it once in a while. Everyone has thoughts in a split second that are outside their usual realm of carefully considered, more rational ones. A moment of rage, or panic, or whatever. It's whether we act on these momentary feelings or not that makes the difference in waking life.

I think the "Dream Rehearsal" dreams are a way of testing out what would happen if we did act upon some of these outside thoughts, and usually the dream just reaffirms what we already knew about our true morality...

Similar, Dan!
Yesterday there was an alert from the spaceweather.com, announcing that there would be a meteor shower that would show up in the eastern US.

All night I kept looking for the "fiery red balls of fire" (as described in the alert) in the night sky, but it was very cloudy and the moon itself was hard to find.

After, I dreamed...I was watching the the fiery red balls of fire with our friend Barb! We were both in awe, it was a jaw-dropping awesome experience for us...

Now I am wondering if Barb had a fire ball dream last night also??? : )

I don't remember my dreams from last night Dabs, and I didn't know about the red balls of fire. I think it's great that we got to see them in your dream!

Sometime while on our trip to Redding, someone dented the back of my vehicle, hit and run ... we didn't notice it until we got home. I'm thinking it probably happened when we parked and walked around downtown, in Weed, California. Cliff had a dream last night that he was able to figure out a way to remove the dent ... but he can't remember what it was. We already tried the toilet plunger, and it took about half of the dent out, but it still looks bad :(

Sorry about that dent, Barb...but very cool dream about Cliff fixing the dent...

It never would have occurred to me to use a plunger! A good idea!

IF the dent really bothers you, they sell this gadget that removes dents. It may be worth your while to get one...

I will try to remember to do a search on that item for you...if I don't please remind me!

I am glad you are home now. I must read about your Redding adventure!

Love Dabs
