Hi there fellow doodlers!
Something amazing happened today, I finally broke the ice with my zendoodles. For the first time I had the sense that my left brain was not controlling or censoring my hand much.
This morning I did four zendoodles before getting out of bed, and I numbered them because I think it shows how the shift happened as I went along. I definitely felt it!

For #1, I drew the main lines, and then just filled in. Those first lines controlled the rest of the process, with little room for surprises along the way. It bored me a bit, and it looks uninteresting to me.
#2, I started in the middle of the square, and let it grow outwards, with a more scribbly sketchy style. Much less cotrolled process, and more interesting.
#3, I was totally relaxed and it felt like a really pure drawing.
#4, totally relaxed again but spent some more time exploring the shapes and lines.

I want to make doodles every morning. Writing morning pages doesn´t work for me, but doodling might be a good alternative!

P.S. Why are there Scientology ads all over this group? This is the Zentology cult.

Lin' haiku is wonderful! I know she loves to eat them! How romantic to write a haiku about that! Gotta go tell this to Lin herself, Heidi!

All those beautiful doodles from one haiku is amazing, Heidi!

The little red birds are adorable and the side rows look like red lobsters to me!

What strikes me in the second mandal is the veiny (sp?) appearance of the lines and how the seem to flow near and far on the plane. Looks like some very tenticular shapes and forms there too!

Red Mandala with the whimsicle lobster looks like it could be a great logo for a seafood restaurant! Love it!

Now I have to look for Lin's haiku to tell her how much she has stirred up my love for lobster dindins too!

Love Dabs

What does din-din mean by the way?
